As Slovakian I don't think that there will be a civil war. Who will fight with who? Even I don't like a current government and the way how they are doing things I don't think that this will trigger a civil war. This act was done by a solitary person. It was not organize by any opposition force.

Any slovak person, plz reflected on this :
      - Its your interior minister, who was part of the plan. Saw his press brief and it was all clear. Fitzo might die, if these are the people.
      - They will have a clear image only by their future actions on policy.
      - Instead of wasting Energy on the mastermind (UK/ France/US/Germany)... Trace your Mole, by his future actions in the coming months..

I as a Czech must emphasize: the Slovaks didn't commit a single act of violence in the process of gaining independence in 1980s/1990s (compare this to the Balkans, Ireland, Spain,...). But now several of their political parties have become very closely linked to the Kremlin (especially Danko's SNS and Uhrík's Republika) and that's the danger. What will happen no more depends solely on the Slovak nation itself.

In a democracy you are allowed to have political views even if leaning toward Russia. Just remember that Ukraine democratically elected a pro Russian leader who was kicked out in a Coup and hence the war in Ukraine. You can't have democracy unless others ( the majority ) may not think like you

For many here in the UK I dare say that Banská Bystrica, where Robert Fico is being treated, is just a place abroad about which they know nothing. For me, on the other hand, it is a place where I actually stayed for three days on a four-centred holiday around Slovakia then the Czech Republic in June 2019, to be at the place where Valérie Čižmárová, whose Fan Blog, 'Hotlips On The Horse Tram' I run, appeared performing her debut single, a cover of Bobby Hebb's 'Sunny', at the Bratislavská Lýra festival of 1969, half-a-century down the line. Although a civil war is improbable it would be interesting to see how the Hungarian-speaking minority would fare therein, as Valérie Čižmárová came from a Hungarian-speaking background. I find it puzzling how many on TV and radio are describing Robert Fico as 'Right Wing', when technically Smer is a left-of-centre party, whose policies I would characterise as fiscally liberal but socially conservative. Please correct me if I'm mistaken in that impression.
