- Las Verdes has quickly become one of the most valuable neighborhoods in Verde County and tourism is BOOMING! With increased prosperity comes increased interest from casino operators. And these operators work together to quietly purchase land and present a unified set of plans to the town board. Though public opposition is fierce, the casinos are approved quickly because of how impressed elected officials were by the promises made by the casino operators. In today’s episode, we’ll work to build these casinos, starting with the most basic and working our way up to the most complicated of the campuses. And by the end, the community will be more interesting and eccentric than it was at the start of the episode. Enjoy!

The heritage hotel area should have cobblestone pedestrian roads. That would be fitting with the theme of the area.
Yes!
Agreed
Also would have been so nice if the castle could have been oriented at the end of the old town street as originally intended.
For the 5th Casino, I think it could be called “The Hanging Gardens at Las Verdes” or “The Hanging Gardens Casino” due to one of the building similarities to “The Hanging Gardens of Babylon”
Royale Casino is my name suggestion for the Disneyland looking one, hinting at palaces and whatnot, and also having the Bond reference.
Love this. Visitors would be so excited to have a drink at the Mikkelsen Bar & Lounge lol
Could also be in reference to isle royale since it's in lake superior
Verda Royale
@@huebusis verde beach set on lake superior??? I thought it was a tropical city
@@phantomplayz7952 mb I was just rebinging the nicolet bay series 💀
One of the reasons why I love watching your videos is because not only are they're entertaining (your laugh gets me everytime) but they're educational. You always give since kind of real life application that justifies what you do that helps me with my own builds.
I think I audibly gasped when you brought out the Pyramid of Safety as a matching asset to the Ziggurat Gardens, then I proceeded to gasp even louder with the Plaza of Transference as somehow the perfect centerpiece to that complex?! Phil, you've done it again, constantly raising the bar for us all.
I really wish the hotels either had a larger radius for the needs or could be based on the district they are in. I love the gameplay aspects of it but it isn't always practical or realistic.
Great video!
I agree that the hotel radius is way too small. They should have allowed for a hotel shuttle bus similar to the evacuation buses in emergency shelters. They would be able to go a larger distance to fulfill the hotel needs.
Completely agree! Still fun assets, but that would make them amazing!
My favorite part of VB episodes is hearing Cats Walking, followed by the final zoom out 😍
What a gorgeous city!
May I suggest adding the Castle of Lord Chirpwick monument to the medieval casino complex?
Excellent work like always, Phil.
Edit: I have a few more ideas for expanding the medieval complex:
1. Rotate the old market building 90 degrees with the entrance facing away from the hotel so the pathway ends at the entrance of the hotel. That way you'll have lots of room for parking on the side facing Las Verde.
2. The other side could have a pond with the bridge park and the campsite (from Parklife DLC).
3. You could surround the parks with trees & have trails leading to them.
As for the name, I suppose we could borrow "The Medieval Millennium Fair" name from GTA 3. You can even use the radio commercial for it from GTA 3. 😉
Mukbanged 4 life.
Yes to all this! As someone who lives close to Medieval times and went to the Camelot casino in Vegas. YES! ENGAGEMENT!
“Playa Blanca Resort” (Spanish for “White Beach”) would be a good choice for either 4 or 5.
For the 14:46 pedestrian path at “medieval times” you should change the pedestrian path into a cobblestone one!
They really need to increase the radius of effect the hotels get from surrounding buildings. It's too demanding and ruins the look you're going for. Like the mountain lodge hotel needs offices and shops. But why? It's a mountain lodge lol. It's supposed to be secluded
21:41 Since this one looks kinda like the wynn palace in Macau, I think it should be named something like the Gallo alcazar(google told me alcazar means palace in spanish). The bug one also looks like the old sands hotel in vegas, so maybe after a promonent singer in the area, I was think something like andrea davis is a local singer who previously worked in the city since the beginning and is now popular with locals.
Not sure if you know about the Excalibur hotel/casino in Vegas. it is medieval themed (shaped like a castle), and complete with jousting and huge turkey leg dinners. :-) Not suggesting it for a name, but as a comparison for your "medieval times" looking casino. 🙂
Don’t forget the all-day buffet!
Maybe Avalon, which was the island where Excalibur was made.
@@wm-nu1yf I like that a lot!! +1
The casino area with the Disneyland medieval vibe should be called Mr. Verdant's Medieval Games Hotel and Casino, Mr. Verdant being a eccentric millionaire from Verde Beach who built the complex because he saw the potential of the location and loves the theme of old looking buildings. It's also a nod to Mr. Green from Cluedo because it looks like a place that could host an amazing murder mystery night or something.
Great video as always...
name suggestion for the 1st casino - I think 'The Eiffel Casino' would be a good name
due to its location being next to the Eiffel Tower
100% couldn't agree more
Hey Phil, just a small suggestion: Perhaps for the 2 squares that are across from the pond by Casino #5 you could add in 2 - 2x3 commercial buildings as some small/local shops for people near the casino. Also a suggestion for the name of Casino #5 for me would be "The Grandeur."
I love it, i think there should be a public transpo going to that district
So glad to be on this journey with you, Phil! The level of craft and storytelling you’ve brought to the game has truly transformed the way I play, and the way I view the city I live in. Thank you for sharing your passion and geeking out with us over City Skylines.
mhh. It was the best and most creative build youve ever done in verde beach. I love this so much. Thanks for bringing us this video
I can’t remember but did he place a convention center in this area? I know he has one by the pier near downtown Verde Beach. Like Las Vegas and with all of the hotels and casinos nearby, this would be an ideal location for a convention center. In fact, the Westgate in Vegas is connected to the Convention Center.
You have an incredible way of making me doubt a build you're doing and then proving me wrong. Without fail, every single time I start to question, it turns out great. This whole area has been an absolute treat. I cannot wait to see it fill out further.
I'd love to see the sightline cleared from the Plaza of Transference so cims can look out across the water as they get teleported into C:S2.
WOW!!! This is so beautiful, I have watched so many episodes of this series but I think this is one of the best builds. The fact that this is the vanilla game makes it even more impressive!! 🤯
Whoo, finally caught up! I found Verde Beach a few weeks ago and I'm glad that I was able to catch up on everything before the series comes to a close. It's been a wonderful ride thus far, and I'm excited to see how things wrap up!
Thanks for the dozens of hours of entertainment, and I'm looking forward to dozens more :D
Watching from the other side of the world.
Done with dinner, see that Phil uploaded a video, make some coffee and enjoy some awesome city planning...
The landscaping is incredible! Makes everything feel so real. Good job!
hey Phil, just wanna thank you for all the work and dedication. have been watching you for my whole vacations, love this video length too. thanks again
I think it'd make sense to turn the Budget Hotels into more expensive, bigger, more impressive ones. You're not lacking any money, so how a hotel performs isn't all that important - We all KNOW that such a spot would bring customers in reality, so putting something more appropriate there seems like a no-brainer to me.
I’ve been subscribed since right before you started Verde Beach, and before then I really only knew about Cities because of Keralis. Back then I had no idea that you could do what you have done with this build in a game like this! I’m even planning on getting Cities 2 because of your amazing channel. Thanks for another banger of a video!
It's been said by many before, I love the story you put into your cities.
I've always found Skylines and games like it to feel a little sterile, you inspire me to try again giving my city a story like you do. Thank you for that! 🙂
I started this playlist a couple weeks ago and have watched this city grow while I work, and let me tell you, it's been quite an experience watching this tinderbox grow from a tiny town to this behemoth.
Love you’re videos, you provide so much inspiration for my rookie builds and i’m excited to see more content from you in the future!! So excited for Cities Skylines II and the new builds you’ll start then
Great video as always. Can't wait to see how this area expands in the future. I would love to eventually see a rural build closer to the Deep Space campus later on.
Very cool!! Love it! This kinda funky detailing is exactly what VB thrives on haha 😂 I do have some name suggestions
1 - The Las Verdes Casino. It's a pretty basic/recognisably conventional casino, don't need to rock the boat.
2 - The Lubumbashi, named after the city in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Keeping it themed.
3 - After noticing the Italian flag on the Heritage Hotel, I think it's only fair to give it an Italian sounding name. How about Il Patrimonio?
4 - Very flashy, and African, but returning to more conventional Vegas roots. Maybe something like Lagos Hotel & Casino?
5 - The Pryzm Complex. Lots to work with there, very open-ended, the misspelt word trend, prism reflects the angular nature of the buildings, it's just great.
Here's a comment for the sake of engagement🏩

You outdid yourself with this one. It's so beautiful!!!
I really like all the unique buildings in the Modern Japan pack. I usually end up placing all of them in my citites. They look great and blend well into any city!
Area 1: *The Tops*
Area 5: *Zion Resort and Casino*
Area 4: *The Sierra Madre* (If you're going to choose any of these PLEASE pick this one I think the building and the monument in front of it really captures the Sierra Madre from NV plus it fits the motif of both Verde Beach and especially Las Verdes)
I tried making my own city cause you inspired me. I had no idea how difficult it was! I admire what you do my friend! Mad respect.
Always great content. I vote for the 3rd casino to be named Duke's Den, I feel that name works well with the aesthetic. Could also add Debauchery in the middle if the mood suited you hahaha
This is shaping up to be my absolute favourite of your builds! Simply gorgeous!!
Excellant job, Phil. Love the creative use of other buildings as a casino.😀
I’ve been watching since the founders park days. This series has been great. I have to say, you used to respect right away more back in the day. City planner takes out roads in a second to fit in these casinos and other stuff. But like I said, I love the show.
I think you should name one of the casinos after Creepy Phil. He’s been a staple. Maybe come up with a story about how he’s always wandered around Verde Beach because he just wants to find someone to do life with after his wife passed. Hes like the old dude from Home Alone. As he approaches the end he decides to take his fortune no one knew about and build a casino so he can have a lasting legacy in Verde Beach and honor his wife who loved to gamble.
Really fantastic build. It's been great to see your builds get better and better over the years
Can’t believe I actually caught up with the episodes. Love the series!
I think this is one of the best episodes ever. Very creative and with a lot of vision, limited within vanilla. Great stuff. It looks incredible.
Loving Las Verde! What a great use of all the new assets. Hard to fit them into anywhere else bit love the idea of time being themed casinos.. awesome! #allcaughtup 👍
I binged on this series for 2 weeks! I'm sad I'm finally caught up. I love the fact that you kept it a majority a vanilla build and only added mods that helped keep the city growing.
That being said... The couple things I wouldn't mind seeing you add ploppable RICO to get all the assets funtional. And also going back to high schools and adding sport campuses to get more inner district sports rivalries 😂
Love this build! Now gonna binge clearwater! Cheers!!
Casino 3 name suggestion: CAS-tle-INO Neu Schwanstein 😄
I also love to step aside and sketch up things and I also like to encourage everybody to do as well. It is great fun and helps you following your own path instead of just building for building sake. I love to masterplan greater infrastructure but also for more in depth builds. I often use Zones to plan out highways and railroads 😬😄
Keep up the good work CCP. Love to see you grow, while enjoying yourself ❤
Each episode makes me even more amazed by how well your PC is able to run such a massive build.
Loved the little montage at the end
Really enjoyed this build. One of the best builds of Verde Beach so far. Never thought repurposing unique building that don't fit within a city's theme,
i'd say copy the casino names from Las Vegas, like Mirage, Flamingo and Golden Nuggett. It happens all over the world.
New to the channel and game in general, LOVING this series! Would be cool to make a private beaches resort/hotel in the crook in the highway down the way. For the ultra rich seeking privacy from the strip, limo services of course.
I like your creativity with making these spaces feel like the custom assets that you wanted them to be.
Just pulling this out of the air here, you should make #4 “The Soft Pop hotel and Casino” it really looks like all the Hard Rock Casinos I’ve seen. Loved this video!
Brilliant work as always!!!!
1. Fire mountain
2. Diamondhead
3. Excalibur at the Olde Asgardian
4. Golden Orb
5. Grande Oasis at Giza
Some casino names:
2 - Koboko (swahili word for cobra and sounds like a great casino name.
3 - Verde Royale (spin on casino royale and fitting for a large castle )
5 - Giza Casino and Resort (homage to the pyramids of Giza, and with other monuments like the Eiffel Tower fits the theme of the area)
Brilliant build as always!
this may seem minute but your vanilla cs skills have come really far these builds are impressive, los verdes is a testament to the ability of the vanilla game
One of my favourite cities is Los Angeles, or rather Los Santos, because of the atmosphere. This is incredibly reminding me of it, I can just hear the 'Welcome to Los Santos' theme for GTA5 playing in my head as you do a cinematic city tour. I really love these videos and they also help me with my builds in City Skylines with your real life applications to these.
Love the build. I know he is semi inspired by las vegas and was surprised he didn't mention the Excalibur since his medieval build reminds me of it
My first thought as well. "Medieval Times but a casino." So...Excalibur then lol.
The ziggurat garden is such a stunning building. I'm glad you finally used it 😁
This series was so nice
Hey loved the video! A suggestion for the colour of the paving of the parks between the pyramids, the blue tile could be nice, as there is water nearby and it would tie the water to where people spend a lot of time, and be different to the surrounding paving
Ah yes, degeneracy and debauchery💰💰💰💰
Love the casinos, very neat
Some suggestions to naming: I think for the "casino" #2 something in the likes of The Lucky Strip might fit thematically with the spider :)
The fourth casino strongly reminds me of Ultra-Luxe casino from Fallout New Vegas. So I'd personally named it something bougie like Diamante or Extra Luxe 😂😂😂
I love the sandstone flower plazas and the whole area surrounding! Extremely cool and beautiful and definitely a major landmark tourists would HAVE to visit when they came to the city. How does this part of the city connect into the transit to downtown?
Thank you! The metro station heads straight to downtown and has a dedicated platform down there!
Sounds like CIty Planner Plays got clean. Goodjob bro! keep up the sobriety, i with ya!
Still reward for most annoying laugh
This video highlights why making unique buildings functional in CS2 will be such a game changer. There are these magnificent buildings and twenty or thirty pedestrians walking past - you get more traffic than that for a single 4x4 commercial building. It really makes the whole thing look closed.
Phil you’re the master!! Paradox need to give you access to CS2 already!! Watched verde from episode 1 by far my favourite series!!
I agree!! 😊
Just as you finished saying that you might miss it, I saw a pedestrian either disappeared into the light or passed through the bushes to the side there at 31:36. Focus within the hexagon monument if you can't find it. Perhaps you could check that out, Phil!!
Anyway, I really like the build this episode. Interesting idea to combine all the available different assets to build creative casinos, each to their own theme. I've also always loved the way you landscape your build. Considering how much landscaping you throw in everytime, I've never find them overwhelming.
Best of wishes to you. Hope you notice this and check that out.
Not a fan of casinos but I really enjoyed watching you build today!❤
Great job again CPP! Love VB!
One of the best episodes in this series!
I think the name of the casino should be the name of your indian tribe from your other series.
The tribe in Nicolet Bay
After Close to one Year after the Last Time seeing verde beach CZcams recommend your to me today. Totally forgot how much i Like this Series.
The area looks wonderful now, the "pyramid place" really is special! I love it! 🤘🏼
Anyways, although the whole casino area seems popular, I think it really should be and look busier
Streets should be loaded!
I know it’s not finished yet, but I think their would be a purpose to max out (or sort of) the hotel and build generally more high commercial zone to attract more people!
Nice Job anyway! This series is my favorite! 🤘🏼
Love the builds Phil!
A couple of notes: maybe you could try alternate colors on the Flower Plazas like chess.
Pedestrian paths with trees instead of plain ones. I’m a sucker for those.
Expand the Medieval Theme Casino into “Disneyland” with amusement park assets maybe?
Great as always!
Oh wow, I thought after last weeks maxing out of nodes we wouldn't have another episode 🎰
When you first started building this tourism area, I was a bit sceptical about it, but with every addition, I enjoy it so much more. This build especially somehow made it all come together.
That said, the flower parks near the garden casino should definitely have a different type of stone. My preference would be the cobblestone, but even bluestone would be fine. It's just too monotonous right now. Adding the different colour will really make the parks pop out more and make it visually interesting.
I hope some time my city will looks so amazing like yours. Amazing video
My favourite series!!
Huge fan of your videos! I love the way you explain, educate and give us so many great ideas that I have employed in my own game! I've never commented before but here are my thoughts for the casino names: 1. Verde y Dorado (Spanish for "green and gold")
2. Araneae Serpentes (scientific name for spiders and snakes)
3. Court and Castle
4. Bahati (Swahili for "luck")
5. Pyramid Shai (Shai was the Egyptian god of luck)
I do think the castle casino/resort would benefit from having the pedestrian themed street turned 90° so the path does lead up to the entrance of the casio. Great job as always and hope this comment drives “engagement” 😂
Currently watching the Thursday episode be right back
Casino Names!
1a. Little France Casino, which goes with the Eiffel Tower next to it, or…
1b. The Masquerade Casino Resort because the details on the Casino sign in the front reminds me of masquerade masks
2. Copperhead Casino, named for the snakeheads being the entrance
3. King Arthurs Castle, themed to be the castle of the mythical British king
4. The Oasis Resorts, since the front of the casino has the Sahel Monument and is from the Africa content pack
5. Temple Gardens because of the Ziggurat Garden looking like some kind of temple and the casino having lots of greenery
All FANTASTIC suggestions. I hope Phil sees your comment.
Love the work phil!!
Just got back from Vegas the other day and I gotta say, this is extremely accurate. Just need a bunch of water jets shooting up in the lake. 😂
I love the amount of detail you put into the area. I loved that landscaping. It would be interesting to see what you could do to make more money on the hotels. I would hope the mechanics of the game -- especially with the hotels is better in CS 2! Keep it up :) How about MulliganLand for #1? Keep it up!!!
We can expect globally renowned casino giants like MGM or Caesars casino showing strong interest in Las Verdes (e.g., in places like Vegas and Macau).
They might opt to operate under a different name, for instance, "Paris Las Verdes" (after Paris Las Vegas) or "MGM Grand Beach Resort."
Quick naming suggestion for casino #4: The Sahel. I noticed that the statue in the middle is called the sahel monument and that definitely sounds like something vegas casino execs would drool over :)
great video as usual!
I love the African casino. It actually reminds me a lot of where I live, Los Angeles, where you see ultramodern buildings (like the communications center you added) next to older programmatic architecture
This was a really cool build, the designs of the pyramids reminded me of Ashgabat. I think you'd love checking that city out if you don't know about it yet.
Here from the Live stream to say that I want more videos like this :)
Cats walking!! Such a jam
I would love to see a few more outside connections for this area, like maybe a harbour to bring people in too.
One of the best an creative builds👏👏
You're a darn artist!
