I was working in a food truck on a truckers event and this guy came up and casualy ordered the meat sandwich on the menu, and my number. It made me smile. Never had such an unusual order, so I wrote it on the napkin and gave it to him with the sandwich. The rest is history. He still has the napkin too. Later he told me, he knew we were supposed to be together when he saw me. I must admit I can't realy remember when I had the epiphany he was the one. Like you had when a voice said "you are going to marry him". It just felt good from the start.

Oh how your story sounded sooo much like mine! We met when I was 19 at my job. His mom worked there too. We believe marriage is for life also so after me and my husband had dated awhile and he started talking marriage i froze up! I was terrified! I loved him but I just was so scared. I began to ask God over and over And Over🙄 if He wanted me to marry him. God answered me over and over. I made that poor man wait so many years. This man is the love of my life and we have been married 18 years this coming April! I'm so thankful to God for such a Godly man! Hes the best!! He is my soulmate!! A friend of his worked with me at a facility for the mentally disabled. I liked said friend but he didn't like me, in that way so he had a party in between Christmas and New Years and invited a few of his single friends to attend hoping one of them would hit it off with me.That was Dec 27 1984, I chatted all evening with one of the guys ( I grew up with three brothers so chatting with guys is much easier for me) and he asked me if I would like to go to another party on New Years Eve at one of my other co-worker's home, I of course said yes! He left the first week in January to go back to finish college so I wouldn't see him again until mid February after graduation. Three and a half years later we married and this year on Oct 8th we will be celebrating our 31 anniversary! I enjoyed hearing your love story, I hope everything with your health passes so you can do the travelling you'd like to do. May God grant you peace love and friendship through all your days together!
I met my husband when I was 18. I met him April 9, 1981, we got married May 16, 1981...I was still 18 and he was 23. Yes the next month. 1 month and 7 days later and we are now in our 39th year. He and I just knew God had put us together. We also stay married for life, we have never talked about divorce....Not ever. We are so in love and are best friends...God meant him for me and me for him and it will be that way for life. People have asked us how we are so happy, love being married, and how we do it.....I always say Keep God in your life and marriage and it is easy to have a wonderful marriage.

We were married exactly 5 months after we met. The Lord led him right to me. It's been 6 years, and I know one day I will saying 39 years just like you. Praise the Lord that you and your husband have eachother! 😍

Love your story, we also saved sex until marriage and been married for 34 years, we only dated for 4 months. We still hold hands and flirt with each other. God is the center of a happy marriage

I had the “this will be your husband” as well, after reading redeeming love and then thinking about the guys in our church, and heard God say ‘he’s the one.’ I didn’t even know him at all other than his name. And wow how life changes for you once the Lord tells you something you’ve been waiting for a while. God is so kind.
You guys will look back at this video 40 years from now and will say, "life was beautiful".
I like that you and Nolan traveled before having a child. My husband and I did that for a whole year and my in-laws commented a lot that all that money could go toward a down payment for a house! They later said, as they read our letters home, that we were building memories that would last a lifetime!

My beloved visited me in a dream this morning and gave me a hug. We wished we could be young again and have another child. I woke up with long forgotten memories of our amazing adventure camping for the summer in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, in 1973, surrounded by the beautiful views, the boulder trails and the Cold River. We were so happy. A few years later we had a precious beloved son who looked just like his dad. He was a great blessing to us both. They both are sleeping with Jesus now and I miss them. Jay passed away in 2013 and our son died of cancer in 2019 at age 41. I look forward to being reunited in heaven. I saw your video pop up and watched it, since it was perfect for my day of remembering. Thank you. You are special people. Sometimes I can’t watch your videos with your son because it reminds me how much I loved my son .

After a disastrous relationship with my first love in early 20's and a lot of frogs later I decided to stay single and swore never to marry! At 37 someone came into my life and that was it, thankfully, as when he first asked me for my phone number I almost gave him a false one because I was afraid to get involved ever again. Well, 10 months later we were married and I thank God everyday that I gave him the right number. He is my best friend, a good Christian man and an all-around wonderful man. God is good. I love your story!!!!!

What a beautiful story. I love that! My husband and I were introduced at a fake Bible study that was set up by our moms haha. Problem was that he brought his friend and his friend and I ended up dating for three months. It quickly ended when I found out he had a lot of problems and was a terrible person. So my husband and I were good friends for a year and then dated for three. He was seemingly a strong Christian and so I had all the confirmation I needed. Right after the wedding he changed completely. We had about ten rough years but neither of us believed in divorce. Now we have been married nearly thirty years and it has been tough sometimes, good times here and there, but it has been an act of obedience to stay committed. We love each other, rarely if ever fight, so that is good. But how surprised I was that all the signs were good, all the doors open, all the boxes checked, and plenty of time to truly get to know exactly who he was....and I was still fooled. But God is good, and Jesus is my eternal bridegroom! I’m thankful that my husband is my partner in this life but I have Jesus for eternity ❤️ this life is a breath it is so short. And had my husband been perfect or near perfect I would never have longed for my relationship with Jesus as much as I have. May God continue to bless your marriage!
Yes, I know things are never guaranteed in this life. I'm so blessed to have the marriage we do. It has it's hard times as well... but I find happiness in it. I'm glad you two stuck it out and were able to make things work! A sign of true character! Thanks for sharing and blessings!

Your story, your love, your example in faith. Made me cry tears of joy. I am a faith filled woman whose husband of 21 years he was abusive starting on the first day of our honeymoon. I knew I made a covenant to the Lord so I stayed for 21 yrs. after too much to even share here it ended. I am 56 and have been alone for 15yrs. I don’t know if God will ever allow or create a new love or marriage for me. I just know watching you two and you both with Zander brings my heart joy. It’s bittersweet but joy nonetheless.

Thank you! Yes, God is good! Documenting life has been my passion and yes, even now I am so grateful! I have videos from being 14 and living at home on the farm. Not nearly as many as I do now, but it's something! And I'm thankful my best friend was ok with me sharing the clips of her talking. I have come back and watched this video about four times in the past year or so, perhaps longer. I love to hear your story and it reminds me of my trepidation about marriage and so on years ago. I love the innocence way of your courtship which makes things so very special and so right. My husband and I were high school sweethearts and married five years after graduation. We are now in our 54th year of marriage!

Yall are so cute....I love that you have so much preyoutube footage! I was so amused at the b-roll and past footage that your man was so smiley and skipping over logs and then it would cut to current and he's so straightfaced just sitting there while you talk! It made me chuckle. I'm always interested to see how God is intertwining lives together for his glory no matter the bumps and bruises along the way. Thank you for sharing how God worked in each of your life's and brought you together. What a precious love story! God writes the best love stories! I had just turned 18 when I met my husband. Becoming an "adult" made me ponder the course of my life. I returned to my home church and a few weeks later I met my husband at a surprise birthday party for his sister. Long story short we were married 10 months later and next month it will be 45 years ❤️ I am truly blessed!

How sweet!! Great videography at the beginning. Love the bloopers too. My husband and I met at church. We practice faith-based marriages where a man prays about who he should marry and then goes to his church elder (the lead minister of the specific church congregation). Then that elder either sends a message to the girl to come in for a visit to get the proposal or sends the proposal to her elder if she’s in a different congregation (same denomination). Sometimes the girl doesn’t get or want the name right away but will pray about whether she’s ready for marriage in the first place. Then she can get the name and pray for a yes or no with or without signs/scripture verses, etc., but ultimately looking for peace about it. Then she gives her answer and if yes, they talk or meet, they announce the engagement over the pulpit on Sunday, and typically get married in about 3-6 months. We don’t advocate divorce either, and our church marriages have a pretty great success rate. Anyway, my husband asked for me, he didn’t know me but had a dream about a girl all in white, and I worked as a nurse and stopped at a New Years gathering after worked and had my all white dress/pantyhose/shoes (the way nurses dressed back in the day), and it was exactly like he had seen me in the dream. I don’t have any spectacular story for my answer other than a yes. We’ve been married 27 years. It’s had its ups and downs, but we have God as the center or top of the triangle, and we are making it! (I didn’t go back and proofread this)

Well, I’m actually Apostolic (Apostolic Christian Church of America). I must say, though, in this day and age of technology, I would say some of the younger generation probably “date” a little more but still go through the “asking” process. My neighbors were what we called “black car” mennonites. Not sure if that’s the Holderman Mennonite or not.

What a nice testimony!!! I am the wife from Paeppchen. 1979 I asked the Lord for three signs as well because my then boyfriend has had an alcoholic father and he was almost 4 years younger than I. In His mercy the Lord showed me that he was the right man for me! In the beginning we have had our ups and downs but these confirmations gave me a lot of strength. We are happily married and I am so pleased for His leading!
I like what you said about “divorce not an opinion”. A lot of couples divorce because they get up on the wrong side of bed, in my opinion👍

I love the fact that even 'just' dating was such a big deal for you two! I am NOT used to that idea at all. Marriage yes, but dating was not a big deal in my surroundings. I don't have a Christian upbringing and got saved around 10 years into our marriage, so that is obviously a big difference. But I don't see this in my Christian surroundings now either. But finding out of this person is going to be your husband for the rest of your life IS actually a big deal. So good to have been more conscious of that :)

I love this it is so very sweet! I grew up in church but my husband and I met at a place I worked. We were not right in the Lords eyes at first and I knew it but fought it and we got married anyway but the Lord took my husband to Afghanistan as a soldier and used that to turn our lives around and now we live in Maine and he is a pastor! I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world and I love him so much and he is so good to me! I firmly believe in how God works in our lives and shows you things as he showed you!! Happy Anniversary to you!!! What a wonderful story that only the Lord could write. My husband and I met first on EHarmony and dated for 5 years. We were in our fifties and never had been married. The Lord put us together as well. Too long to tell all, but I knew he was the one when he burst into song when we were hiking on a trail in a forest preserve park. We love nature and the rest is history. We have been married for 9 yrs now. We both thought we would be doomed to be single. Marriage is the best when you have taken the time to know someone and keep the Lord the center of your relationship. God bless you both!

I met my husband on the internet, lol. Not a dating site, before those existed. Second marriage for both of us & neither of us were interested in getting married again but God had other ideas. He's the love of my life & such a Godly man. I'm so blessed to have found him & God worked it all out. All I can say is you're never too old for love. Just make sure you put God first in your marriage & live your life for him. I can't imagine my life without him.

We had our 25 years together anniversary this year. We haven't had a perfect life, it's been real, with ups and downs, but we've done it all together. I started this past summer by downloading thousands of videos from my phone onto a folder on my Seagate. Now I’m trying to rename them by year, month and event, so it roughly looks like 2019 July Eden baseball, or 2018 December Christmas morning, etc. etc. And such a long, tedious process...but fun :)

I am watching this two years later and I am currently going through this same feeling/fears you had of getting married. I too am a loner and I had that same thought as well. I love how you talk about your off and on struggles with whether Nolan was the right one. I had the same issues when dating my husband, even though God had told me he was the one (like he told you before you ever dated). My parents were divorced and I certainly had fears of commitment. But as soon as we got married it was just so settled in my heart that I never questioned God’s will after that ❤️ I believe the devil just tried to keep me from God’s will! Divorce isn’t an option with us either 🥰
It’s crazy that you had the same experience! I felt the same way and didn’t want to be doubting ON my wedding day!

Such a great story! Had a smile on my face the whole time. :) The way I first went out with my husband is with our mutual friend playing a joke on me. While I was at the friend's house visiting, the phone rang and it was another mutual friend pretending that it was my husband asking me out on a date and I said yes that I would go out with him. The next day, my one day husband and I were both at the friend's house and our friend looked over at me and told my husband, by the way you have a date with Kim. I was so embarrassed! My one day husband took pity on me and said sure we could go out that weekend. Long story short, we've been married almost 25 years. We were definitely meant to be together. :)
