People of Kerala has amazing hospitality !! Years ago / May be over a decade, I had to go to Kottayam for some activities, I didn't know much about the place or anything about it. I am North Indian traveling to that State for the first time. I didn't know they don't speak hindi and very few people speaks English and I also look different too.
Went to restaurant for food and none of the servers were able to help me, food were different / language was diff and then this Manager comes out out of no where and he is such a humble human being, not only helped me with Menu and all but was so friendly and helpful about navigating place around etc. I don't remember the whole conversation as its been a long back but I remember that incident about how down to earth person was he, representing Kerala !!
I am Bulgarian. I lived in Austria, Europe and know people from Kerala, they live too in Austria. They are awesome people- kind, very friendly and beautiful. I want to visit Kerala one day in my life and to joy everything that Kerala can me give- nature, Kovalam beach, food, spices, aromas, Katakali dance watching, Ajurveda ect.
@@snezhanamladenova7415 In general, people in India are humble. I left India about a decade back, and living with Americans / Europeans have taught me, how different we are. Mostly coz we are being suppressed by politics and Europeans for a long time. So unless some major shift happened in past 8-10 years, I would be surprised if one get to experience bad human behavior or great infrastructure!!
But on the same time, I will caution "White" people to be little bit careful visiting India, majority of Indians sense "whites" differently. Like I had a shock when I started living with Whites, Whites wont have easy transformation as well. We have problem, its not merry go around !! I as a North Indian ( back that time ) seen complete different to them ( but as an Indian and not as a foreigner ), was prepared if thing had gone downhill, So should you !!

Me and my 4 other friends (all from Kerala) toured Ladakh and Kashmir few years back. In this group, two including myself were Muslims & other three were Hindus. In Kashmir, we were eating in a small hotel and we get to know some army officials. We had a great chat with them & they were pleasantly surprised to see the friendship among all of us. They asked whether everyone is so in Kerala and we said for the most part it is. And they were happy to hear that & advised us to keep that spirit always.
@love lock Of course, that’s a problem. There’s no denying that. But these tiny fractions often are hidden under extremist political Islamist orgs such as PFI. Which was rightly banned recently. I’m not denying the existence of extremists terrorists and that is a problem that needs to be tackled. But on a positive side there’s a bit more inter community harmony here compared to many Northern states I have visited and experienced. Of course, this is not to say I’m arguing this state is better than this. Every state has positives and negatives. We all should try to tackle negatives and try to implement the positives from everywhere.
