    I disagree that Google will be the one pushing for better Android integration into tablets. That would be Samsung. Samsung has been the only real company that has made Android compatible for tablets and tablets as a laptop replacement especially with Samsung DEX. You should take note of MKBHDs podcast talking about Samsung’s influence and control over Google, Android, and the Android experience. Samsung is the one pushing Android’s future, not Google. Samsung is the default Android phone, owns 50% of Android, and it a majority stakeholder in Google.
    Samsung having better updates vs Google’s own phones, the Samsung features that appear earlier than Google phones, and Samsung-only Google features are evidence of this.

      That's the main issue with software. Lenovo is trying to patch up something that's not focused on tablets. And it sometimes works. Sometimes doesn't. Samsung does a lot of development in that space. I wish google would take notice. So we wouldn't have to choose samung for software despite its pricing and hit and miss hardware as in they're generally good but not all of them are winners. But DEX is a great example of samsung's development prowess.

    I bought a p12 pro and it was good for about a week. After updating it Disney plus wouldn’t play any movies with sound, Bluetooth headphones wouldn’t work properly, and graphical glitches and stuttering, and the biggest problem was the random restarting. I immediately sent it back and I’m just waiting for a refund.

    I disagree with you about charging the pen on the back. It's better than the side especially with the case or keyboard accessory. And most of the negatives (with a few exceptions) seems nitpicky outside of the software update issue.

    • @Przemo-c
      @Przemo-c Před rokem

      I also vastly prefer it on the back. Easier to carry. Harder to dislodge. I wish the software would be a bit more flexible. I'd love to see floating windows like on xiaomi stuff in the regular mode. Or different grids for snapping windows to. Also UI scaling is inconsistent. Huge icons sparse grid and ui elements are tiny. And when you adjust UI scale it messes with notifications etc. I don't know what's the fuss about the screen extendion from the pc as many people say it's terrible but for me it worked like a charm every time. And I don't even have wifi6. But i don't know how to right click from the touchscreen. As for cameras... they are terrible... but who cares. It's only used to scan QR codes anyway ;]

    • @mikhail5453
      @mikhail5453 Před rokem +1

      This is you just taking what you think is negative about the P12 Pro. The pen is on the back, correct. But you can cover that with the back stand, if you buy the keyboard. It has a cover for the pen at the back. Also it is magnetic and almost any angle, you can stand it. Not like any other tablet, like Xiaomi, Apple, Samsung which their backstands are only on certain angles. Also the music cannot be muffled at high volume. If you are a moron, purposely covering the 4 certain places of the speaker, 2 at top and 2 at bottom when using at portrait mode. Or 2 at the left side and 2 at the right side. You cannot cover all of them, unknowingly. Also the camera is pretty good, compared to any tablet that is available or android phone. The price is great and value for money. It is very fast as it has a Snapdragon 870 and an Adreno 650. Also the charging speeds are pretty damn fast. And the usage for me, heavy usage here, last for about 2 days. It has the longest battery life in a tablet, I will tell you that. Compare it to top of the line IPad and Samsung Tablet. Ohhh, I might forget, I own a P12 Pro after less than a month of its release. So 1 year and 1 month I have owned it and used it everyday. No problems whatsoever. Also, you can use the keyboard wirelessly via Bluetooth or you can connect it to the tablet physically. Also, I have no problems with what you are saying about the bezel. It's a perfect bezel for me in a tablet, not to thin, not too thick, just the right curvature on the 4 corners. Also to all who don't know, it's a 12.6" tablet, with an E4 Panel, TUV Rheinland Certified(this is the certification, that it passed the emission of the amount of blue light produced by the screen is low/passed) , 120hz screen refresh rate, 360hz sampling rate. Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. 600 nits. Also what you are saying about the display, not too bright. Cap. Even outside on a sunny day, no problem, reading or watching or using it. My one thing only request for lenovo, or what I notice in improvement for the P12 Pro or any Android or IOS tablet is, I hope they put a waterproof mesh on the speaker grill. Also a waterproofing o-ring, on the USB type c charging port. Also the charging can go up to 45 Watts. The charger that comes, is a 30 watts charger, but it does the job. About 1hr 30mins from 0-100%. Imagine what a 45 watts charger will do, in terms of the charging time. Maybe over just an hour, filling up that 10 200 mah battery. Also I like the option of what they call, privacy shield, it is on the settings or if you swipe down from the top and swipe left. No app can use your Camera, Microphone and Location. The Mic produces white noise if you record or talk to somebody, if it's turned on, also your exact location will not be revealed. Your camera app, or any app that uses a camera, just displays black, if turned on. And many other features, I cannot tell it to all of you, as it is really too many, to turn it here in the chatbox/comment section. I have purchased mine just over $600, if converted to US Dollar. The keyboard not included, if you buy the tablet, so I have purchased it separately. About $75, when I bought it last year. Also, if y'all didn't understand before, the keyboard comes with the back stand,/cover for the back, it also covers the pen, you cannot lose the pen, as it is covered by the back stand cover. Well, if you are still here, and read up to here. Please leave a like or dislike, if you agree, or disagree with what I have said. And I hope, I have enlighten someone by this comment regarding the P12 Pro Basic Features. God bless to all of us and Good health. @@mikhail5453 I agree with most of what you've said. It's a great piece of hardware. But not all speakers are active all the time. You can cover just 2 and make it muffled. But it's a rare occurrence as they are spaced apart so even when holding with two hands you're likely holding above at least part of openings of the active speakers. Also I love pen placement. I can grab and hold it any way I like it without dislodging it. While with edge mounted it's easier to dislodge. However there's so many magnets you can really go to town on how you want to place the pen but for charging it's in a good spot.
      The only con of that is that some tablet/phone holders can't accommodate the total thickness in its original spot/with back case on. Ideally it would have a slot in the body. But barring that the placement it's in is way better than edge mounted.

      @@Przemo-c The official back case has a slot for the pen protruding on the back and oem manufacturer of the case for the lenovo p12 pro back case, should have a slot also for the pen at the back. Correct on the speaker, it is a rare case, even if you are using it portrait or landscape, it is a rare occurrence to muffle the sound coming from it. Also you can say that also to any android or ios, lets say on the IPhone 14 Pro Max, I can say the speaker can be easily muffled pretty easily while using it, right? It is really on the user end problem and way of thinking. The only thing that will make this a perfect tablet for me as I said before, is for lenovo to put out mesh for waterproofing on the speaker grills. And an o-ring for waterproofing on the charging port/usb-c port. 3.5mm jack is useless as it is so thin, it cannot be put in, in there. I just use my bluetooth earphones and no problem whatsoever. Great sound quality even when using Bluetooth Earphones or when using the built-in speaker. Also if you are not quite satisfied with the sound quality, just switch the Dolby Atmos - Dynamic to the Dolby Atmos - Movie. The sound coming from it, will be a lot more, and the quality is there.

      @@mikhail5453 @Mikhail By slot i was thinking about something like samsung galaxy note or old ericsson phones. I think that the solution with both folio and keyboard case back is pretty great. And even when there's no case it sits there pretty well. I absolutely love the audio on that tablet. It'a a make or break kid of a feature fdor me as a lot of my use is watching tv shows movies and podcasts. I really appreciate the fullness of the sound. It's really a hit and miss kind of a thing even in more expensive tablets/laptops. I miss right click on pen. I'd vastly preffer it over the functionality thats available. And theres quite few bux with day to day use like caps lock osd capturing focus so you can't typy until its gone or brightness adjustment from keyboard osd stealing focus. or in portrait mode with keyboard detached in bluetooth mode tablet not rotating with the image (and portrait with this screen is awesome to watch something in16:9 on top and have nice square window for browser or email. or gboard shadow rendering when its set to floating mode but invisible when typing on regular keyboard. Or launcher with grid that's not adjustable and ignoring developer options on forcing resize on any window but from keyboard it works... a lot od nuisances but overall it awesome.the screen the sound , performance. hell i'm on a lower tier version of it and i can run windows 7 in QEMU well enough to use some of my software. Or run full fledged firefox in termux. And i love that its not 16:9.... 16:10 is uch better for any productivity use and split screen usage.

    My laptop died, which was also a Lenovo Yoga . It was a piece of shit with a messed up known battery problem. My Tablet has totally taken it's place. It's android system is far more stable than windows. The gestures are a little awkward until you get used to them, and the only awful issue is they can't print to HP laser printers. I bought an aftermarket driver which fixed the problem flawlessly for $15. Only complaint is I wish it had a second USB-c because I like to add a better microphone and that means running on battery. I haven't used it yet but peripherals drain batteries fast. MS office works fine on it and theres tons of great apps and cheap because it's on google play. The big must have is the magnetic keyboard! I had 3 MS Surface keyboards and not one worked right, they are pieces of shit. Because of that I will never buy a Surface again. This keyboard works flawlessly, and it really is a little fully funcional laptop. I tried a bluetooth mouse from lenovo but there was too much lag. I recently saw the P11 Pro, cover and pen for $299 bundle. I paid double that and am happy with it still.

    Whoever stumbles upon this comment. I bought the tablet to test, it's updated to Android 13. Hardware is excellent. Software sucks. Discovered several bugs. Very bare bones. Compared to a Samsung Tab s7+. You will need to install several apps to mimick what the Samsung does. Stock Android is nice for phones, but not a large screen tablet. If acquired for a good price, and way less than an equivelant Samsung where you live, it's an understandable compromise, but don't over pay.

And I have no demanding tasks for a tablet.. But I think would like a bigger screen than most 11 inch tablets.. I first would like to buy a laptop.. That;s even 15 inch.. But I think a tablet is easier to grab for short uses like looking up something and than put it away again ? A laptop is easier when you have to fill in some text on some websites..
      I don't want to buy a keyboard with a tablet.. Then I can better buy a laptop.. But most screens on laptops are only 200 nits or 250.. And I see that tablets have better colour and moer nits of brightness..

    2:42 So the argument is that if you could store the sylus on the side of the tablet, it *wouldn't* be as easy to dislodge or displace? I mean, it sounds as if you're knocking Samsung and Lenovo for a problem that Apple is getting a free pass on; storing your stylus, on device, is not a secure option anywhere. At least Galaxy devices do have a side-mount option, in addition to the rear mount, should you desire.
    And Tab devices also account for stylus storage with their keyboard cases, while Apple doesn't. Not even on their $300 "Magic" keyboard. Apple's devices have benefits over Android in certain cases, certainly, but this does not feel like one of them. For a Google focused site to be knocking this aspect - especially on Galaxy Tabs - is truly puzzling.

    I really prefer the 12´´ format of the Tab S and Lenovo, they are much better suited for watching videos and as wide as the 11´´ iPads for drawing or productivity.
    On the other hand, my 1st choice remains the Tab S compared to the Lenovo and iPad Air or Pro.
    It's been almost a year since this Lenovo came out but is still running Android 11🤦🏽‍♂️.
    This Lenovo tablet competes more with the Tab S7+ than with the Tab S8+ and iPadAir 5, and even against the S7+ it doesn't really measure up.
    The Galaxy has better software, better software tracking over time, a much better pen and such...
    The only thing a little better with the Lenovo is perhaps its keyboard which is cheaper and a little better than the Tab S.

    Don't buy a lenevo.P11 pro user here. The android os update promises are lie. And security update comes after 4 months with free third party app installation without consent and on top of that the app is made default browser. No limit to what they can go.

    This is a problem that plagues android tablets. Android needs a tablet OS that has Pro Apps and the tablet needs to be updated regularly. Until android takes tablet apps seriously, no one else will.

      Lot of apps have tablet UI, all Google, Microsoft, Adobe apps, some pro drawing apps are there like krita, concepts etc...

      There are plenty of "pro apps" on android lol. You either use an android tablet or aren't looking hard enough. Also, Android doesn't need a tablet OS; Samsung has proven that it doesn't need google to make a good tablet experience.
      Oh yea and, Android having less tablet apps isn't Androids fault. Devs are just lazy
