Sucks...all uselessness. WHEN WILL BE THE DAY WHEN WE HAVE FULL CONTROL OVER THE SCREEN, JUST LIKE ON ANDROID TV. COLOR. BRIGHTNESS. CONTRAST AND MUCH MORE. ALSO TOTAL CONTROL IN AUDIO..EQUALIZER..A REAL FIREWALL (for God's sake...my p9 lite from 2016 has one and it works perfectly) those would be big changes... AND ENOUGH OF THIS DAMN FRAGMENTATION... Pretty stupid to recommend to Android users that they buy an Air Tag. These are a nightmare to setup and manage if you don't own iOS devices. Even if you have macOS, this only gives you live tracking, but no setup option. Comparing these Android trackers to Air Tags is kind of pointless. Most of us don't have the freedom to choose one over the other - it's a purchase that's dictated by our choice of mobile operating system / ecosystem.

It´s not nitpicking - it´s just bad. Unusable in my opinion.

Why doesn't Google just buy Samsung?

Unfortunately there's (at the moment) no location history. Also Apple doesn't offer this functionality. When using the Galaxy SmartTags, you get a location history for 7 days.

Nobody ever covers Niagra's swipe menus, quick access widgets in the app list, or stacked widgets. Always makes it "just a vertical list"

I tried it before and it was a pain. The gps never worked properly, location was always like a hundred meters away. A dictionary app didn´t read the words because something that comes with the google pack apps were missing. Eventually I came back to the stock android version.

As a user in Brazil, this don't make any difference to me. Here in Brazil, everyone i know, including iphone owners, use whatsapp, which is by far the most used, or telegram or any other messaging app. So, this rcs talk don't have any importance here.

Slight correction, you can not locate air tags with an android device. Going to iCloud in the browser will let you locate your iOS devices, but air tags are not shown.

This was the change I needed to fully give back into android. I prefer android but use iOS for convenience of messaging. We are free!

Do you guys forget that Samsung exists? It's always Pixel and iPhones, Samsung has their SmartTags which are in some cases better than AirTags. Google is extremely slow at adopting a lot of necessary features and Samsung always steps up to have their own implementation in OneUI before Google

Get Samsung SmartTag 2 I'm so frustrated that reviewers just don't talk about SmartTags they are the only proper and reliable AirTag alternative that also has UWB. Why would an Android user get an airtag do you even listen to what you're saying?

Within a couple of days, I left my wallet in my wife's car and searched for it. Couldn't find it. She physically went to look while at work and found it. I got the notification once she was in her office. After a bike ride, left the wallet in the bike bag in the garage and thought I'd try it to see if it could find it. Said it was nearby but wouldn't ring. Tried several times to ring all 3 in the house and only 1 actually rang. Very disappointed!

Google made 1 MASSIVE mistake by not have the default setting set to High Traffic Are, without it especially here In the UK where most of use live in less traffic areas so would take longer than it should to get a find update. Also the settings is NOT showing up in the find my device app on the pixel 8 Pro without purchasing a tag. It's as if Google did not have 1 full year to get this working
