When MS VISWANATHAN started composing for malayalam film the songs were written by Sreekumaran thampy. When
MSV first composed Easawaranorikkal virunninu poyi and asked for Thampy s opinion Thampy told him that the song was
like Tamil type and opined that Malayalees like more carnatic based tunes . Immediately MSV came with another tune within
minutes which was recorded and became great hit. MSV was a senior MD at that time and Thampys bold opinion was respected by him. They went on to become a hit combination.

I only remember him as a great film maker, lyricist and engineer with a charming face in 1970s. I left Kerala in early 70s to feed my stomach! And ever since that I have not been able to follow up with films, art and literature of God's own Country where quite a few arrogant people live. Jai Hind.
