Same advice applies to other things, as well. When I was working in a truck shop, one of the senior mechanics told me that sometimes, you need to walk away for a bit. Even something as trivial as a bolt you can't get out can piss a guy off. He said to go get a drink, sit down for 5 minutes, stuff like that, then come back and you'll have that bolt out in short order

I've noticed that when I lose a couple of games, MM seems to load my teams with poor players for the on-going games. When I win , the ability of my teammates improves magically for the next few games. When I'm losing, to break this cycle, I will change servers (I'm in EU) and/or join/exit a game several times in a row before I enter a game. This often breaks the MM cycle.
To win - I also often go back to one of my favourite tanks at low tier and notch a couple of wins before heading back up the tiers again.
Finally - there are certain times of day (weekends in morning + weekdays late afternoon) when lots of players havent got a clue and just want to race around having fun. Its fine if they want to do that until you are trying to complete missions , grind xp or actually want to win. Answer is to play later in evening or at another time when casual players have got bored.

I "love" the games when 2 minutes in we are somehow down 5 - 0 and I want start another game but have to suffer and finish the current one. I use to take it seriously but power creep has convinced me that the game should not be taken seriously. I have tanks in my garage that were once decent (like the T-34) that are basically heat sinks in today's games but I still will take out once in a while because I like it. I have "chat" disabled so I can only imagine what my teammates are saying or thinking when they see it in play. When playing in a Tier X match the game often becomes "World of WAIT" as both sides hunker down for fear of being blown to bits by being slightly aggressive. What might improve things is some bonus for aggression (not sure the math behind that). Anyway, I still enjoy the game but do not take it too serious.

it's fucking copium at its best, but after every 10 shit game you get that 1 special game, that makes your brain convince you "see, the game isn't so shit after all"

I just rely on my BRAIN... and I am much more careful when playing. Now weird stuff here...my wins literally doubled, my earnings tripled most importantly..my health in real life has improved...lol I never get upset now as I'm handicapped from the start, this makes me work harder, think more strategic, and thus play BETTER! I will never go back to loading up my tanks with all this gimmick crap, I just build the crews, and play smart. Its a weird thing I found by a fluke but I am happier in the game now. The frustration from a losing streak isn’t just about the percentage loss displayed on the board; it’s also about the feeling of being manipulated. Imagine experiencing a losing streak for 5 or 6 consecutive games, leaving you frustrated for 1 or 2 hours. Then, the system attempts to compensate by granting you consecutive wins. In the next hour, you might win 4 out of 6 games with ease, like a 15:2 scoreline. These overwhelming victories leave you with no sense of participation or accomplishment. The truth is, most players just want normal, real random games. They dislike matchmaking that feels manipulated or overly influenced.

Not only consumables are difference between premium players and free to play. Putting consumables on every tank is not even affordable, specially at lower tiers and not keeper tanks. And than you need to do sometimes 100k xp to even get the best gun, turret etc. Imagine playing a stock average tier 8 tank like kv4 against teams with 2/3 premium tanks. Until recently the most I lost in a row was 4 games. Now it's up to 5. Been playing since 2011. As quicky mentioned sometimes I walk away and take a break but another thing that helps me is that when losing a few in a row I go town to tier 5 and 6 and what I find is that I am less stressed and have more fun. I get some of the losses back then go back up in tier.

    Some very good points.
I’ve noticed lately that a big factor in whitewash games is that the team won’t take or even attempt to take a crucial position. Lakeville, one tank gets spotted in the mid and everyone on the way to town stops to fire and then just sits there. The team is then spread too thin to properly support each other if the opposite team is swarming together.

I find a very, very low correlation between how well I'm playing in a session (on average) and whether or not I'm winning or losing. I also never seem to find these games where you ready up in a tier 10 tank and drop into a game that also contains tier 8 tanks. Even when I play my 10's, I'm always bottom tier.
Edit: When my fully aimed, green-pen indicated, tier 10 premium heavy tank round hits the exact spot I was aiming at and...bounces anyway? That ain't me.

No matter how great my stats are in that game, quit immediately. My recent wn8 is now 3000 and recent win rate is 60% whereas previously they were 1600 and 49%. Up till about 3 years ago, I used to get losing streaks that ran into the middle teen numbers. I think my record was losing 22 games in a row. Statistically it was supposed to be impossible. Even if I were trying to help the other team, there was no way my efforts would have yielded those numbers. I know I didn't just "Get good" either. I've actually dropped in my overall Win Rate the past few years from a 51% to something like a high 49% (haven't checked those numbers in a while bc I simply don't care any more and don't play anymore). I knew something was 'off' because my shots would always pattern around the target or I'd simply bounce/track.
These losing streaks didn't matter if I were on Premium time and/or using Reserves. Logging out and back in didn't make any difference. Breaking my keyboard didn't work either. The trick to stop the bleed was to either quit and wait 3 days before logging back in OR I would play my statistically horrible tanks for a few games and then play my avg tanks. I'd have to stay away from my high win rate tanks for a few days otherwise I'd consistently only win 20% with them.
I think it was 2021 that these losing streaks just stopped happening. I would still have 30% win rate days, sometimes, but these double digit streaks just stopped happening.

If you play and you lose and you keep playing I’m convinced that the MM algorithm takes that into account. The more you play and lose the more you lose because the engagement algorithm determines that you losing keeps you engaged. You can see it when MM is trying to give you a win or a loss by looking at the average skill of the players in your team vs the other team.
The MM is there to create engagement and sticky players that’s it. It’s not there to be fair it’s there to keep you playing.

The advantage of a bonds aming device is 1%. Thats the amout it is better than a bounty aiming device. With the even bigger problem of ftp-players that their access is even more limited when it comes to bounty devices...
With wot+ or 'some' gold you basicly can play every tank with bounty equip as long, as you have 1 set (aka 1 of each type) at hand. I ve seen ppl done it even before wot+ was in the game. It works fine as long as you dont switch too often between tanks: grinding a new tank, trying to mark it or simply play it till you reach the cap on its bp-points.
The important part on loss streaks is to admit that you are part of the problem. :D Distracting yourself with anything for 20-30 minutes by doing something different usually helps. If you really dont find anything, you could try to switch the game mode. Like 1-2 rounds of frontline or whatever event mode is active.

Rule Number 1 in WoT: Don't ever EVER play with expectations. This will almost always end you up disapointed, furstrated, mad and angry. That's why everyone gets mad at Onslaught.
It's interesting QB that you mention the ways other players can gain an unfair advantage causing you to die and maybe lose when you could not have.
It would have been interesting if you didn't stop to only bond equipment. Premium/reward tank also cause that, directives, easy ammo spam, even abuse of "f2p equipment" such as CVS can put you at a massive disadvantage.
But most "skilled" players can't seem to face the fact they are part of this growing trend in WoT to firstly look to have the most advantages before even thinking about being a better (team)player.

Easy ammo makes the game a lot more easy/dumb (I know because I've tried gold spam for the first time in 8 years in the last season of Onslaught and I was astonished by how much less I had to think/aim/plan) and has caused many tanks to become irrelevant and hardly playable.
