It was only a few weeks ago that I found out, that TOG stands for The Old Gang, as it was a project from some engineers that have made the Mark Tanks in WW1.
This battle was one of the most fun to be in the chat for on Twitch, an absolute classic. Bob was happy in his nappy! GG

In my Tog II* I use Spall Liner so when I meet a KV-2 I don't try to avoid it but instead I get into the fight to out-DPM it! Usually a KV-2 does around 200 damage to my Tog while I can reliable penetrate it multiple times until it reloads.
Also, I have the most beautiful Tog II* out there, painted with QB Decal on the front, QB inscriptions and a British flag on the side to honor QB's favorite tank.
P.S. 1. There was also a Tog I with Matilda turret, I wonder why WG haven't implemented it in the game yet as a tier 5 premium tank.
P.S. 2. The name "Tog" comes from "The Old Gang". It sounds so funny and silly to name your tank that way!

Platooning as a TOG and KV-2 is always good fun

Yes, Tog is my favorite HT. It's such a funny tank. The biggest mistake I think players who do poorly with Tog is that they try to aggressively attack with it early on, because it's so slow and they are afraid to fall behind the team. If your team is decisively stronger this might be the correct decision, however Tog is clearly stronger on a defensive role, as it mitigates its weakness a bit, its speed, or lack thereof.

Yep, back in the day before the gold spam you could actually bounce shells semi reliably with the tog, but that was when the indicator just showed pen without armor angling taking in.

How the hell do you get a Bond Turbo on it? In the NA, that is not available for the Tog.

Man, I love the Tog II in WOT's. It STILL upsets me that I took a break from the game because my old potato PC couldn't handle WOT's graphics when they updated the game. And while I was off the game, my account ended up getting hacked at one point.
I had no idea about this happening until I login one day wanting to get back into the game and finding everything gone including my precious TOG II. I miss my TOG II.... :(
Also Player Support was hilarious at the time, because I submitted a ticket about it basically saying "hey, I took a break from the game and came back to find everything gone, can anything be recovered?" And their reply was "there is nothing we can do, we suggest changing your password" Like gee...thanks.
Still pisses me off when I think about it. I manage to keep the account and change password etc, even got back my tech tree tanks through grinding, but it's not the same without my TOG II. I hope to get her once again if she's available in the shop. Everytime I see a TOG II video all it does is make me sad because I miss it so much lol...

The Tog II* is one of my absolute favorite tanks! I've had many an amazing game in it, and have some hilarious stories of it over the years. I play it throughout the week. It is my de-stress tank, because win, lose, or draw... its just hilarious. I bought this thing back when it was in the prem shop when I was only in-game for a month or two. Love it!

I never thought much of this tank. And to be fair it's kind of a meme tank. I got it for free with drops I think, slapped a turbo and a durability device on it and actually had fun in it.
People make jokes about the tank, but they stop laughing when they're facing a tog in a T6 and it starts eating away your HP in rapid succession and realize the tog has over 1700 HP.
Yeah it's still super slow and you're likely to get a fair share of games where you won't be able to do much.
Besides KV-2. Arty is also deadly, sicne it's kinda hard to miss.
The gun isn't bad at all. Only 150 dmg, but it's like a machine gun. Standard pen of 171 is actually pretty good for a T6. and it has 239 pen with gold shell.
It has preferential matchmaking too. So yeah I actually liked playing the TOG even while some games could be quite frustrating.

what advantage was there to exit cap at the end of the game?
He capped fully then moved off the cap that side, so there was less chance of being de-capped by being shot. I never knew you could do this either, but I'll be using the tactic in future for sure! Thanks QB 🙂

They were mortal enemys how ever now the tog is a much stronger tank thanks to the he nerf. Kv2 has almost no chance of penning he and the 130mm gold ap can pen but you need to really aim.

Ordinary promotion from WOT tips !! (Haha 3-6-8000 Damage) you don't get 1/4th of what you see here in real game!!! These bastards have a modified mod for promotions to see they are still in the top ranks, what he shoots is a hit!! if a tank hits him.. then a rebound... I guarantee that you won't have it that way!! and it will be the opposite on mil. % and besides... don't buy premium or premium tanks!!! it's useless anyway, the server determines the damage,,..determines victory and defeat .. If you upload min Damage to the opponent, the server will automatically flip and give Victory/ if High damage to the opponent - it is automatically Defeat.. You have a tank of 8 levels and you are approximately at the bottom of the team or on the bottom team composition, stacked from level 10 = It's automatically a win because you have no chance to shoot down Level 10 that is: min. damage = victory.!!! If you are on the highest rungs in the lineup, e.g. team level 8 to level 6 , Automatically = high damage to the opponent and you automatically = Defeat!! Server. BLOCKS....visibility, enemy detections, opponent damage, you can just do whatever you want :D !! it's wasted money!! You actually have more losses than wins in the game!! Ask yourself another question.. how many times have you recorded what you see here? (it's easy to play if you're an admin with a good game mode!), and this thieving company gives replays like this every day ... they're just lying to you and fooling you it's a great game, waiting for you to adjust the game mode to the minimum so that you can put real money into it!! Also note that they offer only premium or 10 level tanks, where you have huge losses in the game even during premium, especially if you use gold-i (premium cartridges)!!! , for 1 battle minus up to 8-20,000 cash... if not more... wt.
