Every young soccer player or footballer wants to become a soccer pro or pro footballer when they are older. However, this is only a reality for a select few. What happens if you don't become a pro soccer player or professional footballer? Are you wasting your time chasing the pro footballer dream? Should you stop trying to become a soccer pro before you even start?

Well it was 2012 when I used to watch your videos and dream of being a pro football player and now it's 2023. I'm an engineer now.i don't know how to feel about it. I'm good at football but I'm not a pro so it's conflicting when I think if I should still continue playing. Nonetheless I'm most happy when I'm playing

When i was in Elementary school , people madd fun of me because i was the worst soccer player , i was the last person to get picked for their team :( no one wanted me till years later , my soccer improved alot because i spend so much time and practice, Now they wont say anything because i got way better then i use to before, by working hard enough, enjoying soccer, work hard mostly everything a professional would do to keep on playing in the leagues. I hope some day ill make it to the top by doing the same thing :))

Hi Dylan. All of your videos have helped me become a better footballer. I only have one thing that gets into my mind. I recently joined a team with all my friends. I felt confident in the whole team. But what worries me is that we kept losing. After 3 matches we lost, even though I still have confidence in the team, I was thinking that we are missing a few things so our team can perform better. We kept losing the ball right when a pass is given. Please help me Dylan. This means a lot to me.

This was the first video I've seen of yours and to be honest you seem like a really nice guy and this video is very inspiring. Anyway my question is am I to late? I'm 14 at the moment and do not play club soccer. I know many people that do play club soccer and seem to be way better than me at dribbling/shooting. I have been playing soccer since I was 6 and I feel like I haven't become as good as I want to be in the time period that I have played.
If I were you, I would try to get to club as soon as possible. I'm 14 as well, and I can tell you that what I've learned in the past 2 years at club are probably more valuable than anything I've learned before. not only do you get taught technical ability, but mental as well. you get taught team shape, using space, hard work, possession play, etc.
even though none of that has to do with improving your touch on the ball, passing accuracy, and shooting, it's what separates rec teams from club teams.

Hi Dylan, I have a hard time impressing my coach at practice and I usually end up performing bad. But when it comes to games I perform really good. What I'm saying is that my practice is bad but my games are good. What can i do to fix this?

The thing is, I don't know what to do in order to join a big team. for example I consider myself as a good soccer/football player. I have trained almost all my life and every day but I don't know what step to take in order to become a professional footballer. I have no idea on how to join a really big team. Could someone help?
You could record yourself playing and find fifa agents through google and send it to them or go for trials for local clubs.
If you're still i school, tryout for a varsity team but if you've already graduated then try the local team. If you play good enough other teams will notice you and also get in touch with some people you know that are in the league or knows a lot

+tyler - That depends on you. Your skills, abilities, and passions. You could be a coach, manager, physio, psychologist, trainer, scout, agent, the list goes on and on. There are many jobs in football.

Hi Dylan, your videos are great! I have recently been scouted by West Bromwich Albion, and I made it through the trials to the academy first team. On the first training session I pulled my left calf muscle, and now it is very hard to play. I struggled in the two recent training session and we have a game on Saturday. I am scared that I will be dropped if so don't perform like I did when I was scouted/in the trials, or I will be dropped for not turning up because of my injury. I haven't been able to play anywhere near as good as I was before, what should I do? Thanks.

how did you get scouted and where did you go if you dont mind me asking. i had a similar problem when i was playing at solihull moors, i got dropped cause i took too long to recover. main piece of advice make sure you attend every training sessions with a doctors note and remember to show your coaches your trying to rehabilitate.
