Thrombo-inflammatory responses after minimalist TAVI- Portico valve

In a 70-year-old lady with history of multiple coronary interventions and severe valvular aortic stenosis and moderate aortic regurgitation, minimalist transcutaneous aortic valve replacement (TAVI) with Portico self-expandable bioprosthetic valve was done. After the procedure she had fever with increased levels of CRP. There was also decreased levels of platelets. Thrombo-inflammatory responses after TAVI have been discussed.
