That the judge wants the closing summations be uninterrupted with days off or holidays is an excellent decision - particularly for the jurists - who will have all of the information they need over consecutive days instead of hearing summations in bits and pieces. Very prudent and wise decision by Judge Merchan.

Judge should have recused himself for conflicts of interest or should have dismissed case for lack of evidence. All this stormy nonsense had no probative value. Now, it's Trump's turn for jail time. This case is about election interference/business fraud. They were trying to rattle Stormy, but she held her own.

Cohen only became involved enough to draw attention with the Mueller Investigation, because of Pekker and tRump not paying. Whether I like this news or not that the case is being extended, I'd rather have the break before, than in the middle of closing arguments.

Exhibit 35 where Trump CFO, Allen Weisselberg, explicitly scribbled the financial scheme in margin is important. Plus Trump's own words under oath from CA civil suit he filed against Stephanie Clifford acknowledging intent of hush $$$ payment entered into evidence in NY case.
The jury, like most, aren't familiarized with the concepts of how these systems are supposed to work. It is strange that the judge would be opposed to having an expert there to explain it.

The jury is supposed to come to their own conclusions. They're not supposed to be told what to think. It's the job of the prosecution to prove their case and the defense is there to poke holes in the story and sow reasonable doubt

If the defendant testifying makes it more clear to the jury what the truth most likely is - beyond a reasonable doubt - then I think the defendant should testify. And since its all about "reasonable doubt," I think its appropriate for a jury to assume that a defendant's decision NOT to testify is a "reasonable" indication that he has something to hide. Which makes it "reasonable" to infer that he's probably guilty. I mean, this is not a case where some poor guy was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and now he's being railroaded and doesn't have the resources to defend himself adequately.
According to Ari Melber, the trial ended last Tuesday. What gives? Why do y'all allow him to get away with incorrect hyperbole?
They will stretch this trial out as much as possible in an attempt to delay trump facing the music. Even if trump is found guilty, he will just appeal and not spend a day in prison. This is just such a travesty of justice. Just throw him in jail and throw away the key.
