We (my company in the St. Louis area)have never had a problem when ordering barges of salt out of Louisiana. The problems we have had are flooding and municipalities, aka MODOT and IDOT take priority since they use tax money to offer a higher price. This, in turn, cuts off the supply to further companies like Morton (who bag in Cincinnati). Secondly, salt is a commodity, they release a certain amount to maintain the value and sometimes limit the production to increase the value of the product.
I’m thinking a new Z spray. Spreader/ sprayer. Can’t wait to see what you end up with! We had 2 storms this past week here in west MI. Felt good to make some of that white gold.

The Mississippi River hasn’t frozen over since 1899😂 Then you point directly at the vaporizer brand and say it’s $6.00 per bag. Then you say in the next two sentences that Morton’s is your favorite and it’s $5.00 per bag. But you won’t pay for it at that price.
My man your right it was floods. Now the vaporizer is mixed calcium in case you missed it. I only use the calcium in lower temps. I paid 4 per bag for regular vaporizer
Dumper Dogg or a TruckCraft dump insert with an electric tailgate spreader so you can run bulk salt ....??? I’m definitely smelling at least a dump insert for this coming season....
I checked with my insurance company and nowhere in my policy does it say that I am liable to put down salt when doing snow removal. How do you charge to apply salt?
Make sure you have snow plow insurance first. It’s up to your clients preference whether or not they want salt. Trust me if someone slips and falls on your lot you will be questioned for liability
