I had a pair of Pro Hunter boots. Owned them for over 4 years. Beasted them in rain, snow, frost, mud, sand, sea, basically the worst conditions you can think. I never once treated the leather which you really should but the boots lasted 5 years and never once leaked. The grip is amazing and my boots have now worn out and ill be buying another pair. You wont regret buying Harkila boots. The quality is top of the line. I also have their Pro Hunter Light gear and its 4 years old and still as good as new.

I have the boots your reviewing at the very end with the uturn lace system and while I’ve only had them 4-5 months I am torn because the boot is lightweight which I like but there isn’t enough grip, they slip and the lace system constantly comes undone when going through undergrowth which is not ideal when purchasing a boot from Harkila so yeah as you say go for your dog walk twice a day in them you won’t have any issues but £260 to walk the dog is a lot of money. I paid that amount thinking these were designed to go hunting in but I’m not convinced so I’ll wait for them to fail as others have said and also go back to my old trusted meindl dovre pro’s which lasted me over ten years of hard daily use.
Last new pair I bought was made in china to my dismay and not in Europe as said here ,took mine back and bought hanwag best thing I done
Nice boots, however I don’t think you can beat alt berg boots for the price!
Had a pair of Harkila , pro hunter GTX, they fell apart after two seasons, Got Meindl Dovre, lasted 3 seasons so far.without issue.
Did you clean it every now and then
Thinking about getting the Meindl Dovre Extreme’s. Tied between those or a pair of Harkila Pro Hunter Ridge GTX. What do you recommend?
Got the pro hunter, a piece of crap. 1 trip hunting southern alp in nz and fell apart. Now back with meindl .
I find meindl boots are hard to beat for longevity but i wear boots everyday 10hrs a day so it’s Lowa for me i just haven’t found anything else that’s as comfortable .
They don't seem to have longevity after talking to people who have bought them, about a year and they've started leaking and cracking even with good care.
Danner boots are better
