I am wondering, what are the prior experiences that you need to get in the profession? Also, what does a medical social worker do (is it a broad profession)?

Hi Katrina! Thank you for your support. For the social work profession all experience is considered valuable because its a jack/jane of all trade career. Depending on what you want to do with your social work degree and population can gear you into what track you'd like to focus on. A medical social worker can work in various departments of the hospital such as case management (like myself), psych unit (once you're license) or even in administration =)
