Just bought 1 for emergency I wasn't that satisfied but for the price it's a great phone I will upgrade later I refuse to pay $800-$1200 for a cellphone.
I have 2 of these. I am not a "Phone Person". I have been SO impressed by 1) Sound quality. When compared with some friends' iphones and Galaxies, it is right up there. 2) Picture quality. If you are just a point-and-shoot person, you will be amazed at the high quality pics you end up with just by default. 3) Low-maintenance. I have people in my life who buy very expensive phones and they have constant problems. I swear I have had ZERO problems from TWO of these over 2 years. That being said, read the reviews wherever you are buying them. I have a feeling some sellers are hawking rejects. Things I think are good, but not much to compare to: Battery life--full day, easy. Screen quality for watching movies and videos--just BEAUTIFUL.! Quibbles: Prob limited storage, because I have loaded it with apps and pics, and it is slowing down, some lag time between button press and picture take (not all the time, may be a memory issue), and the "swipe only" thing has a learning curve for noobs and is still vaguely annoying. I am seriously considering buying another one because I have lived phone headaches vicariously for years and I aint about to PAY to get that.
I've had mine for 10 months now. It's now running Android 12. That messed the battery life up slightly. It's been a good phone. I only paid $60 for it.
Does it have expandable storage?
My mom had this phone for 6 months. It did what she needed it to do & picked it up at Walmart for 50 something bucks. Today she switched to the Galaxy A03s which is a pretty similar phone to the Pure. Her G Pure wasn't receiving phone calls & sending & receiving texts were a hit or miss. Don't know why it was acting that way but she's happy to be back with samsung. She's giving the Pure to my 3 year old nephew as a play phone & to watch kids stuff on CZcams.
The a03s samsung phone, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to shut the screen of when liste is with headphones, like is a simple tap of the powerbutton on Motorola, makes the samsung so dreadful and annoying to use when out on walks, samsung did us rotten
A friend of mine gave me this phone a few months ago and I really enjoyed it for what it was. I ended up using more for a dedicated emulation machine and it worked wonders. It’s definitely a worthy pick up for an emergency phone, a buy for an elderly person or even a child’s first phone. Definitely worth it especially this phone is always on sale or even free at some carriers. Keep up the good work on the videos as well! #imstillhere
Thanks for the follow up review. I've used an iPhone since its inception, but I've reached a point in life that spending a lot of money on cellphones and expensive data is a waste.
Took a gamble on this phone based on your review and I absolutely love it. Sure, it doesn't have a lot of the bells and whistles of a more expensive model that I'm accustomed to, but it's a solid phone for someone that doesn't require a lot of options. $50 bucks well spent.
I find as I get older you become less and less enamored with the extras cell phones provide,you kind of whittle down to the basics and you definitely stop spending so much money on them
@@lagosfury5142I feel the same way I got rid of my galaxy s22 for a moto g stylus 2023 I got a good deal from switch my number for Verizon I didn't pay for the phone I just paid for the service and activation fee so I only end up spending $70 for a $300 phone and only have to pay $40 a month

Nice video. I have the same phone. Android has made call recording of both sides of a conversation unavailable. In Canada we have no restrictions on call recording but there is no option to use call recording. Is there any update that can solve this? I rely on a recording feature for medical reasons, so it's very important to me. Thanks.

Can I use this phone strictly for playing ROMs? I have an iPhone with a Verizon, but I want an Android to use for ROMs and Emulators. If possible, I plan on using it through Wi-Fi and not an actual network. Thanks for any replies.

The 32GB internal storage is gonna run out. I currently have a Galaxy A21 from tmobile and it lags like crazy when multitasking, but, it gets worst when I open the camera. Now is the Moto G better than the Galaxy A21?
My phone keeps glitching freezing and shutting down every day, it's starting to piss me off did I just get a bad phone or is every one having this issue
im looking at this and want to know if the phones does any adjustments when the battery gets low...IE, dim display, turn off wifi and disable the flashlight usage. i have a NUU mobile & Umidigi phones that do this when their batteries get low on power. i would prefer NOT having these features, but cant find how to turn off, so wanted to know if the moto does this before buying it.

Based on your recommendation I just got the Tracfone (now owned by Verizon) version of the G Pure. It seems like an absolutely fantastic budget phone except for my mobile data connection--it will not allow a mobile data connection--voice & WiFi works great. Was on with TF tech support for 2 hours till I ran out of time--no help. I've never had this issue with the other Motorola Tracfones I've had. I know there are probably only a handful of other Pure G/TracFone owners out there, but have any others had this issue? Are my cell-data connection difficulties possibly a hardware/firmware issue?
I have one and my data seems to run slow alot..I've found that when I kill all the running apps or go in storage and clear the cache it usually helps.due to the phone only having 3gb of ram it seems like a lot of things open at once slows it down..another thing I've noticed slows my data down is having the wifi on when I'm out and about.the phone tries to connect to most open wifi hotspots like McDonald's and spectrum etc and while it's trying to connect it knocks out my 4g data..I'd also restart the phone to see if that helps
Pull down your settings shade from the top and make sure your "mobile data" is set to "on"..another option is to put the phone in airplane mode then switch it back off, that makes your phone connect to the nearest cell tower..if all that fails you may have a faulty device or Verizon may not be that good in the area you live since them and most other carriers have gotten rid of 3g service which gives phones less towers to connect to
Straight Talk told me to go to Motorola. No Motorola stores.

After an update was pushed through, I suddenly lost my keyboard - and there are a lot of owners who have the same problem. After about two months of trying everything, I went to Settings and Apps. A good half of the apps listed were disabled, and it wasn’t me! I hit the three dots on that Apps screen and it had a choice of Reset App Preferences. All of a sudden, all of the apps were enabled again and I have a keyboard!!!
I just bought one on black Friday for $37. Will try it out.

Just bought one in a pinch because I lost my galaxy. Got my galaxy back and now I'm wondering why I paid so much for it. Might just keep using the moto g. Definitely can't beat it for the money.
I have this phone 📱 and overall, it's ok, good at some things, not so good at others, as a phone alone, calls are high quality, roaming is good, depending on your carrier, and audio sound is great, I don't use alot of apps other than Facebook and tik tok. The camera is ok, the storage is just 32 GB but you can expand it with a micro SD card.
I just picked up one of these guys brand new for 35$ for dedicated cloud gaming. Stick it on a mobile controller and it's a cheap little cloud gaming handheld device.
I really like this phone I've had it a year. What I do not like is T-Mobile in our area they have very few towers. I wish mine was on a different wireless cellphone network.
If you shake the phone twice side to side it turns on the flashlight and do the same to turn it off

Cheap. Does what I needed it to do. I use it basically for all my entertainment needs. Runs android 12 now, which will give it a little more life. Runs PS1 roms just fine as well which means it's an all in one media center. Live TV, movies, CZcams, retro consoles. I had no issue getting an old USB game controller working on it with an OTG cable. I transfer files with it. The volume on it is really impressive given its price. I don't recommend buying it, just get a newer version. But if you get offered it from some free lifeline program you'd be lucky to get it. My friend got one for free and has unlimited data with it.

@@yelltyrell3348 My sister did that a few years ago. They sent her a unimax phone that barely worked. Others have gotten the pure and other better phone. It depends on what they have available.
@@yelltyrell3348 Yes the phones are free but if they barely work it's a waste of taxpayer money anyway. People end up throwing it in the trash. The Galaxy A03s is only $49.99. That's what the government should give. It's cheap and a fairly decent phone.
I used this phone hardcore for gig apps, social media, Netflix, web browsing....everything BUT gaming. It's a great boomer phone not so much for you younglings.
I run a hundred tabs with multiple gig apps plus my 283 other apps. It bogs down but holy damn, for an old phone it chugs along.
I'm looking to upgrade to a Samsung a14 G5 (79.99 straight talk)because after 2 years the newer technology is worth the price but this phone has been a workhorse.

I wasn't really satisfied, for gaming it's really bad, a session of gaming (20-30 mins) it starts to overheat and after a while it just closes the app and restarts, upgrading to a iphone SE soon, I don't recommend for gaming but for a side phone, not bad

Really my only complaint about this video is the fact that you sound like you're not entirely confident in what you're doing here my guy. The way you talk about this phone and give us actual information is pretty solid. Just be more confident in yourself is what I would recommend. Also this phone fucking slaps in my opinion, I had this before I got the Verizon s20 Fe 5G. And frankly I kind of hate the current phone, I really remember that for some reason the way that the Moto GP or function was a lot better for me than this current phone, I also thought the camera was a lot nicer.

Screen freezes won't hold some app's. Never again. Complete pain
Opened Chrome and it froze for 2 minutes. Gotten "System UI isn't responding" like 7 times in 3 days lmfaoooo
Best phone for the price, I have a Moto G pure and the only thing as a problem , its the less internal memory.... but if you putt a 125 GO micro sd (buy for 20 buck) and you change your download,picture,vidéo, emulated game e.t.c files to the external storage, its fine. I love this phone! Its not a gaming phone butt i play GTA Vice city, Dead trigger 1 and 2, Soulcraft, Xenowerk, and Game emulator (Sega genesis,gamegear,Nes,Snes,Gameboy classic and colors, Nintendo DS, N64, Ps1 and dreamcast games) all work like charm (*With all the game in the external storage*)

I've had this phone for a while now. For me it's been about half great half a hassle. The ui got glitchy so I use nova. When I'm texting and while watching CZcams it locks up. The worst lock up is when I put in my destination on Google maps and another time the data just dropped. It just said no service. No reason nothing else in the background. I get it, It's just a budget phone but that maps thing I had to get my outdated phone out and use that. But I will say on a positive note it has a very bright screen brighter than the moto stylus 4g. Just wish it wasn't 720 you can see those details and things look choppy. But it's nice and bright almost looks oled at times. Battery life is great as well. But it's a budget phone don't expect miracle performance on this thing. Also the camera hahaha
DON'T EXPECT IT TO WORK WHEN YOU URGENTLY NEED A PHONE.. I HATE THIS TRASH. I ALWAYS THOUGHT "SMART PHONES" WERE OBNOXIOUS TRASH AND MOTO G PURE WAS MY FIRST ONE AND NOW I DON'T THINK THEY'RE TRASH I KNOW THEY'RE TRASH.

What I can honestly say about this phone is that it lags and freezes too much unnecessarily for it to barely any system updates. I really wouldn't recommend this phone for an primary phone it's just a play phone. Just like the tcl z 30 as well. You'll get a call just for the call not to pop up on the screen unfortunately. I am a gamer but I use this phone as my back up to watch CZcams or get in Instagram and all the system to is crash and I gotta completely turn the whole phone on and off

You can power off the screen and continue liste to youtube while i. Pocket, samsung cant do this, how stupid, so unless you like the screen ON in your pocket when dawnin,g headphones, to help drain your battery, ide warn against samsung, plus you ca shake the Motorola and the light turns on, super handy
