I’m Jim . I met your dad today at a hydraulic hose store . An he told me about your channel . Can’t wait.
Hey Jim! That’s awesome, I heard all about it. Dad was impressed by the size of your hose - obviously The jokes write themselves here…. Anyway, welcome!
Outstanding job "Mustache" !!!
You inspired me to restore an old vice and return it to it's former glory and now it is one of my most treasured companions on the work bench. Without your video, it wouldn't have happened, so thank you! I hope you come back again with another great video soon.
Rock on bro. Glad to hear it
I was told today that you were out here! Awesome! - Lev (formerly from Thurmont 10)

Love the whistler! From your mother, the whistler🤪
Ha! Yeah that’s from toy
Was watching Suprise Restorations on History Channel (Canada) last night and thought that guy looks familiar. Realized it was you. Enjoyed the show. Hopefully you can use the power wagon on the show some time in the future.
Primer special effects were great! Enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing.
I’m pretty sure this vise is cast steel not cast iron- also wondering why you didn’t put a pin to lock the main nut in, the hole was there and all ready to go?
Cool restoration project! Josh told me about your channel.
Just grease all the moving parts. Cold blue new handle to prevent rust, and the main jaw slider.
Good work, I'm still working to improve my skills by watching restore videos on here, sitting on my sofa.....Judging! 😁
Love from Scotland 5* 🥳
Instead of welding cast iron, brazing will give a better bond. Also use a torch to heat up both the iron and the steel before brazing.
Very creative work making the new jaws to fit the oddly shaped Parker surfaces. Your other Parker, the one you use in restoring this one, looks very much like my swivel jaw Parker 272.
I enjoyed your vise restoration. I am confused why you used a nut instead of a steel pin to secure the main nut in the vise body? Also I would refrain from painting machined surfaces because over time the paint will gum up the surfaces that slide against each other. This are minor gripes mind you, I enjoyed the resto greatly! I am a vise fanboy!
Amazing restoration!😁🤗
beautiful job. Can't wait to see more videos soon my friend. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Fab On. Weld On. Keep keep restoration. Keep Making. God bless.
Thanks bud. Hope you’re well.
@@partsandresto I am doing Gr8. Stayin busy working hard to chase my dreams and reaching after goals to get to the Top. God bless.
Congratulations, Dave!! Enjoyed your segment on the History channel's "Surprise Restorations"!!
Nice!! enjoyed every detail including the whistling and fire check. You are an artist!
Great work mate, always enjoy watching you resurrect these old tools👍top job Dave👍
Beautiful work!!
Love your work 👍
Thanks!
You are a man of many talents. Just saw you on tv as well. Great work. 👍
Are the holes on the underside of were the jaws are threaded? If so I think they mite be used to affix the jaws to the vise. Nice work man. Glad you are back.
The holes are for pins that go through the jaws.
Hope you are doing Ok.
Great to see you back!!! Your filming and editing has vastly improved 👏 well done.
Really looking forward to seeing more on the truck build.
How did you attach the jaw pads, did you use the original pin holes?
Great to see you back in you're shop, good to see you're welding skills are coming on tremendously well. The vise looks a tad heavy so don't drop the old girl on you're toes as you're be hopping mad for day's 😅 sorry couldn't resist that one. Does this return mean you're semi back ? Or just having a rest from that beautiful house of yours. Laters cuddle buns. Gary 🇬🇧🇬🇧
