god im gonna be so honest here. your channel and others like this inspired me to pick up piano again after almost a year. things got so busy with the pandemic and i just couldnt keep going. i hated everything i played and my teacher only let me play fast songs. listening to your music showed me how fucking beautiful the piano can sound. when i listened to "it's ok" i felt like i was back in 3rd grade, falling in love with music all over again. thank you for writing such amazing pieces

Starting my last year of school in a couple weeks, this eases the stress a lot. Update: I'm 3 weeks into school, there's this girl I met and she's really awesome. I asked her for her snapchat after contemplating whether I should or should not, took a leap of faith, and she accepted. She asked me about why I wanted to get her sc. I explained to her that I really was into her and knowing she does literally all the same stuff as me, she replied saying that she doesn't wanna to hurt my feelings but she isn't looking for a relationship atm, and that she doesn't want me to wait for her availability either. Have I lost? I don't know. I'm not gonna stop being friends with her, I will always be interested in her. But I think setting my feelings aside for now is the best way to handle this kind of punch to the gut. I have her number and we're following eachother on spotify, she listens to my playlists and we learned to duet "Lit" from koe no katachi together on the piano. I'll update here soon
Everyday I have motivation to wake up, go to school to see her again. It's the only thing making me want to be at school and pass. I hope this feeling lasts till the end of this year.
Hello ibi! I am a very new subscriber. I appreciate your work. I need to say that I personally do not play piano, but I will have my grandma's piano fully restored by the end of May 2022. It is an upright grand piano, made in Germany in 1930s (138cm/54 inches tall). One "issue" is that this piano has 85 keys, unlike 88 which is the standard nowadays. My question is: Will I ever miss these last 3 keys? I have seen that in a fair number of your videos, you play on an 85 key upright. I would appreciate it if you (or anyone) could answer me this, even more if you could find me a well known piece that uses those high notes. Thank you!
