As impressive as your phenomenal playing are your recording skills - there's something very unique about your camera angle compared to other pianists on CZcams and the mixing / mastering you do with those mics really makes your playing feel intimate or immediate, like I'm in the room. Listening to this whilst fighting a fever, cant put a finger on why, but at the moment, piano music is the only kind that so far during this sickness hasn't let me down.
There have been times in my life where I havent been able to get my hands on a piano for months. Truly discouraging times indeed. I'm currently having one of those seasons where there is just no piano to be played anywhere. It is only the absence of the insturent that made me realize how magical a piano actually is. Just the thought of playing again makes my fingers shrivel with excitement.
I keep putting this on so I can write and then falling asleep. Not a complaint. I come back to your videos often but hardly ever comment, and today I just wanted to say hello, and thank you.
I always loved the feeling of learning something new because as you grow older it seems that most of what is taught is just renditions of the things you have already learned. Listening to you play invokes this same feeling. To put it simply, your music is very refreshing.

I am going through the universe knocking at the heavens door, asking why the goods of time allowed man to rule, divide and conquer. When all we have to do is surrender our selves to the universe? The chromatic part of A Grain of Salt hits like a truck after 45 minutes strait of calm, perfectly harmonizing melodies and chords lol. Love it.
