    my local dealer adds 9K in dealer add-ons making this truck over 80K...
    then u got interest rates in the 7's....

    •  Před měsícem +1

      Call dealers out side of your local area. I live in Miami and they have dealer add-ons that are excessive. However, North in Jacksonville, it’s less than 2k add-on’s. Worth the drive.

      Prados are closest to our Lexus lx600, if you want a real Japanese Land Cruiser in US it’s 100k or you get something like this made in Mexico

    • @TwoHawksHunting
      @TwoHawksHunting Před měsícem +2

      @@heerrjjI think the Land Cruiser, Fourrunner, and GX 550s are still made in Japan. If you happen to see one at a dealership, take a look at the VIN. If it's made in Japan, the first letter in the VIN will be a J.

    • @heerrjj
      @heerrjj Před měsícem

      @@TwoHawksHunting absolutely, I can just say from my recent visit at a Lexus dealership to discuss the recalls. They seemed to be all but confirming the LX’s weren’t a problem with the recalls. But the GX are being held by customs. I specifically asked if it had to do with the Japanese engines vs the American build of the same engine. There seems to be SOME cross over between the engines depending on the market and build. Just because the vin says Japan, doesn’t necessarily mean they are in the clear. A lot of it has to do with how the Gx and lx were tuned for premium fuel vs the sequoia/mexican Tacoma. Honestly they are all a great value compared to the overall market but the LX is absolutely worth the extra cost in my option

      Lc70 still cost you 70-90k In The US….an old car with mileage. I’d rather pay the extra 10k and have something newish that’s been proven (Since Lexus usually rides a few years behind others on technology) I’d just pay the 100K for real … new Land Cruiser.. than get taxed on older LC models from LC collectors

    Read that you cant even put anything heavy on top of the battery thing in the back, or can't sleep on it cuz it will crush the battery pack below. $$$$$$$ so kinda weird to have an off road SUV then can't really put anything heavy back there.

    Edmunds did that ramp test with the new LC, and what was really interesting is the front sway disconnect mechanism on the LC is behind the axle, while on the GX it is in front of the axle. This means on the LC it is in a much better spot/more protected from rock hits than on the GX Overtrail. Something to think about if you really do want to use these off road. It would make me pick the LC.

      The 4Runner will take up the $40-60k price range. The Land Cruiser is a much larger car and unnecessary unless you really want the name and the larger cabin. Keep in mind that the previous generation Land Cruiser was only slightly larger and started at nearly $90k.
