Someone give this guy a lot of money. Thank you friend!
I agree :) :)
New year, new Web Squadron speed optimization video. BANGER!
Once again, thanks for your efforts!
Thanks for that information. Superhelpful and it will change my workflow going forward.
Excellent video!!!
I signed up and did your course, and my god the progress compared to what I was doing or, rather, not doing before, is night and day. It lays a great foundation for me, you give great tips, tricks and sensible information, presented in a methodical way, and there were so many moments I said to myself I wish I had know this and that sooner. Look forward to more modules and further courses.
Big thanks.
More to come in the next 3 months :)
Brilliant video...very useful information.
Again, another awesome video to guide optimizations for 2024.
legend!
Good
Obrigado por essas dicas. Agora, qual a diferença entre os formatos de fontes ttf e w2?
Woff2 is compressed. Raleway Normal TTF may be 125kb per variation, whereas Woff2 may be 25kb.
Hey Imran, I'm not seeing some of the features anymore to activate in Elementor settings (ie optimize image loading), any idea whats up?
They have modified some features, but I would use a Code Snippet to knock off the Lazy Load, and manually add it per image/gallery when needed.
For non-image heavy websites (no shops), I disagree to the method of zeroing out all image sizes. SEO benefits from other image sizes, even it's WebP already, smaller WebP = less kb = faster loading = better SEO score (working on perfection). The only drawback is your DB grows faster, your webspace shrinks faster, but don't forget we're talking about kilobytes, not megabytes as we are good people and are aware of prior image optimization, right? So I would use smaller sizes for cards, archives (articles) as these images most likely ain't super wide. Adjust the image sizes to your needs, that's important. Although, there is one con with having multiple sizes of your image. You might have more HTTP requests. This could potentially affect SEO score negative, but this is more theoretic than practical.
The approach Imran teaches over years works for him, because he creates copies directly within WP ecosystem by resizing and saving different image sizes manually. This is not mentioned here, hence I still suggest keep WP do their default image resizing, rather touching every single image. At the end it all depends on the amount of images. If you have a small agency website less of 20 images, you can use each of both mentioned ways with no big difference / impact SEO wise.
Yup, and the new WebP Snippet removes the JPEG/PNG originally added which is cool for Directory sites.
Thank you very much for everything. There is one point that I didn't understand...
Do you recommend optimization by combining the 3 plugins or can just one be enough? If yes which ?
I just used my:
3 WordPress Tips.
EL Settings and Features -- if you use EL.
PhstPress.
WP Fastest Cache.
WP Meteor is optional.
@@websquadron Thanks ! And code snipped is optionnal ? Because i have 99 without code snipped. :)
Thanks for the tips! Btw, my host has server-side JPG to WebP which is really great.
That's awesome!
i'm using elementor loop carousel with youtube videos embedded, The page score is affected with the youtube srcipt. Is there any way to defer or delay the youtube script file?
Do you have many videos?
Are they small enough to be self-hosted, or fed via system like BunnyCCDN or Muse.AI?
@@websquadron they are customer rivews hosted on youtube channel. I'm displaying them as loop carousels.
Thank you for replying❤️
This is awesome. Can I do all this when using Astra and Spectra? I am not using Elementor anymore.
what’s the reasoning behind zeroing out the medium and large media sizes?
You can use these with Astra/Spectra.
Zeroing the Med/Large is a moot point - as not everyone agrees with it, though I have had 0 issues ever since I stopped having them automatically created in the backend database.
@@websquadron thank you so much. Appreciate it!
I am not worthy of all your knowledge ohh wise grandmaster 😭🙏 thank you
quick question - can i ask what hosting you used for this site?
SiteGround and tested on Elementor Hosting too
Hi Imean, as your WordPress speed optimization is really good. It improves my page speed dramatically. Can you also upload speed optimization for bricks builder? It would be great. Keep up the good work ❤
It’s the same process.
On my page with the codes I have some that are for all WordPress sites and not just Bricks
@@websquadron Thank you. I'm going to try and update here.
hello!!
i am not getting many options as you are getting in Snippets... please help
What do you mean by not getting options?
@@websquadron only getting 4 options in Snippets like Make upload filenames lowercase.
Disable Admin bar.
Allow smilies.
Current year. That's it.
Not like yours Remove unused CSS.
WebFont Load... Etc..
Please help.
@@balmeet86 Did you click the link that says Snippet Codes? It's the 4th one in the list.
@@websquadron sir I went to code snippets plugin and clicked snippet and getting only 4 settings but in your videos many more and different settings are shown
😮
I've been trying to speed up my website up for months and losing my shit over it, I gone from a 4s load time to 200ms with these tips, not sure which one did it. I'm still a bit low on mobile performance so any more help is appreciated.
You may a 1-2-1 inspection of the site.
@@websquadron what's that gonna cost me? 🤣🤣
$200 for me to login and have a look, but I am not pushing you to do that as many would prefer me to do it for free, but I get lots of requests each day. Good luck. @@drivingfirst
@@websquadron I wouldn't expect it for free 🤣 I'll drop you an email :)
The snippets didn't seem to have any effect on my mobile score :/
What were the issues with your score? It could be dependent on how the page was built, server, backend plugins, webp images, fonts, etc.
@@websquadron unused css & unused javascript were both big ones - combined for over a second of delay.
Thank you for saying it's not all about elebloater. Please keep content coming that is good for ALL of us, not just elebloaters.
i want as less plugins as possible, have you tested the optimisation out with autoptimize alone + maybe code snippets.. Why did you use code snippets? was there a big difference using code snippets?if yes how much?
Because it's easy to manage the plugins.
WHY ARE YOU MISLEADING PEOPLE HERE
Which bit was misleading?
Care to elaborate?
No just using his settings for the elementor bit alone nearly got us to 100% across the board up from 50%. His advice is aways really good.
where can I get the code for the code snippet?
The links are in the description.
Look for Code Snippet :)
