Thanks so much for covering this stunning performance. I wonder if you'd agree that Austin's voice has changed over the last few years and while it's lost a little of its youthful freshness, has instead become more rounded and able to support a song like this better. Technically it's perfection and his mastery enables him to convey such heart and emotion. Sebastian's accompaniment is gorgeous.
The song seems to be going viral - it's got to 22,000 in just over 1 day.
I'm not an expert but I do think his voice has changed a little. I think when he was younger his voice had what I can only describe as a "brassyness". Now his voice seems more mellow and rounded. I don't know if that will make sense to anyone else.😅
His voice has always been lovely but it has aged so beautifully, love this performance.

Austin's voice is a gift from God. His tonality, breath control and phrasing are perfection and thank you Sebastian. I wish he were better known. On Saturdays live I told you he was sick in that performance. This performance he was at 110%. It was gorgeous.
I think when they each got their own recording and video equipment during Covid, they all started to spread their musical wings. Given the time to write more music (Tim & Austin) and the opportunity to stop touring & catch their collective breath expanded their talents. They all have their own channels now (if you haven't seen Chance's "The Man Who Couldn't Forget" on his channel - its' terrific).
This was beautiful! I believe he said he hopes Home Free will record it one day. The background vocals in the live video were amazing, as well! Austin knocked this one out the park!

Rob and Rupp are busy with the band, as Home Free is recording and touring again and this week finishing out the US leg of the DIve Bar Saints tour that got shortened due to COVID. So they are all pretty busy. Austin and Tim, and to a certain extent Chance, were all working on their own projects in between Home Free stuff and during quarantine, but some of it is only now being published (plus Rob has his Avid Indoorsmen podcast to manage too). I'm sure there is a ton of behind-the-scenes scheduling going on.
Also, wonderful reaction. I really appreciated your comparison between this version and what he did live. I hope and pray you get to meet him too, someday. He's such a nice, humble guy. I feel certain you'd hit it off.

QoFy, unless Austin himself, or his lovely team, told you that you need to grow the channel more before you can talk to him I suggest you stop playing it small, because worthiness doesn't come with what you do or what you've got, we are worthy simply by our existence but you got to believe it and you gotta feel it in your heart. 🥰🙏 I also recommend closing your eyes and listen to this again, because when you are truly focused on Austin's voice you'll hear what's hiding in there. ❤️🥰🙏
