  • Senior Constable Simon Innes believes that working in the Canine Unit (K9) is the best job in the Australian Federal Police. Based at Brisbane Airport, he works with two dogs: Cuba, the cash and drug dog, and Jock, who detects firearms and explosions.
A typical day for Simon includes feeding the dogs, checking their health, exercising them, and taking them to the terminal to go “on the hunt”.
Simon is proud of the work he does with his K9’s, fighting the war on drugs and contributing to the safety of the Australian public every day.
Simon also serves as a Reservist for the Australian Defence Force.
