I thought there was little information regarding the Caatinga, so I will add some unmentioned curiosities, it is important to know that the Caatinga is the only biome exclusively Brazilian, which means that a large part of its biological heritage cannot be found anywhere else on the planet. In the Caatinga the vegetation adapts to the climate, so as in most of the Northeast it is very hot the climate is very dry making the terrain look like this, without foliage and desert-like, but when the drought passes and the rain arrives. The same trees create life, yes they bloom again, it's a very interesting curiosity about the Caatinga. 🌵❤

You can find them pretty much anywhere with water.
Exatamente.

Alfie, the Caatinga biome indeed is very dry and hot AF as well. Here usualy rains for only 4 months in a whole year, but when it's raining all those trees that kinda look dead they "come back to life" and the greenery takes over, it is absolutly stunning
Temos esquilos, porcos espinho e raposas.
yes we have squirrels and Hedgehog. Our squirrel is called "Caxinguelê"
Hello Alfie, I wanted to give more explanation on the Caatinga because I think is fascinating.
It's the dry biome whit the cactus and dried trees, everything looks dry and if you don't know about it you might even think they're dead, but when it rains it's like magic happened and everything becomes green and beautiful.
So what happen is that the trees and plants lose their leaves in order to save the water and even tho the tree looks dead the water saved on the roots keep them alive for a long long time.
It's a biome that only exists here on Brazil and I grew up watching it. I live on the northeast in Pernambuco and I love it when it rains so I can see those changes 😁
Sorry for the long text, thanks so much for your hard work ❤
hi☺ Alfie!
-in fact, the cerrado biome, even though it is large, is quite different in some regions, for example, the northeastern cerrado is much more similar to the caatinga because it is much more arid, hot and tropical, in Mato Grosso and Goiás this biome is very more continental or more like a type of savannah;
-and in Mato Grosso do Sul the cerrado there is of the field type, like prairies, grasslands being much more humid, and with a subtropical climate, that is, with more defined seasons; - In the southern region of Brazil, the states of Paraná, Santa Catarina and especially Rio Grande do Sul have much more extension of the Pampa biome (humid temperate prairies) and this region has many coniferous forests (araucaria trees, pine trees...);
-the Atlantic Forest does not have in all the regions shown in the video, the main region that has this biome is the southeast of Brazil (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro...);
-In the northeast of Brazil, most of the biome is much more arid, desert and typical tropical, and in some parts there is the Amazon biome;
-the Pantanal is really a swamp (wetland).
-the Amazon biome occurs mainly in the northern region but also occurs in the northeast region and in the state of Mato Grosso, having an equatorial climate; alfie many of these videos on geography of brazil are very wrong or are too simplified. -and remembering that Mato Grosso do Sul and Mato Grosso are different states with distinct natural and cultural characteristics;
-north: amazon biome (equatorial and tropical climate);
-South: coniferous biome and pampas (subtropical/temperate climate);
-Mato Grosso do Sul : in center and south of MS have cerrado(field type) humid grassland biome (subtropical climate in the center and south of state);
-northeast: caatinga("outback"),desert, semi-arid "areas" biomes, (semi arid and tropical climate);
-Mato Grosso: cerrado and amazon biome (equatorial climate in north and continental tropical climate);
-Southeast: Atlantic forest and cerrado biome( atlantic tropical, tropical and tropical highlands climate);
-Goiás: typical cerrado biome(continental tropical and tropical highland climate);

13:28 It depends on the time of the year we are talking about. Here, where I live, generally we have no rains whatsoever in January, but then in February and March we have strong rains three or more times for week. Now, in June, we had weak rains at least one time at every two or three days (so I would say it already rained seven times in the last two weeks). It is not as rainy as in the Amazon, but we have a lot of rain.
(Btw It was me who sent you this video ❤️)
(And sorry for the bit where I pasted the portuguese text instead of the english text 🤦♂️)
here in Rio de Janeiro in summer it rains for 10 to 15 days and there are floods and landslides, and in winter it rains for 2 to 3 days but very light and with days without rain and a climate very cold (for you it must be a cool climate hahaha)
Brazil isn't different of other countries: more closer to the ocean and water, more population
That's why 70% of Brazil's population is at the Atlantic Florest, bc it's in almost all coast (myself included)
