  • Having print and cut issues? Take a closer look at your pinch rollers. This video shows how to replace broken / worn outer pinch rollers on a Roland VS300i with out stripping the machine to pieces. This video also applies to other VS models.
The low profile offset tool kit I purchased was from Amazon and its called 'Laser low profile offset tool kit' part number 6709.
I'm hoping this will save everyone some money as having this changed by a Roland engineer is triple figures.

@@chris_jamo I tried this today and I had a hard time putting in the new assembly that I ordered from Roland. The part# that they provided me was 6000005882 for the left assembly for VS-640. However, when i tried to put it on, the metal piece was not clearing the bar completely. I am not sure if I got the correct part. It was a customer service lady that gave me the part#. From hearing from other people, I should have asked somebody from Tech Support! I have to call Roland back.

@@EJSJ805 Strange one. Did you undo the two screws enough so the metal part was high enough to clear the bar? I’m pretty sure the pinch rollers are standard throughout the VS range

@@chris_jamo Yes, I did. I am having a hard time press it down to properly get seated. It is hitting the plastic part on the end.
Update... I found a way to get it done. I used electrical tape and pulled it from the back and it worked. Thanks again for the great video! I saved $$$ thanks to you.
