Can I send sACN or Art-Net, throug the same Network i use for Audio-over-Ethernet (AES50)? This would save me time running a second cable to the stage.

I admit, I'm not super familiar with AES50, but from some quick reading, it appears that AES50 is NOT compatible with other protocols on the same network - sorry!

AES50 is indeed not compatible with sACN or Art-net. AES50 uses a point to point connection where sACN or Art-net use a star topology network.

AES50 in it's purest form is just a high channel digital audio snake. The same goes for Aviom and Behringer P16. It goes from device to device and is not a network protocol. AES67 or Dante networks are network protocols and can be connected to a standard IP network with some caveats. Best practice dictates using a vLAN for each protocol to keep them logically isolated.
You could, in essence, have DANTE, Midi, Control, Arnett, and SACN all on the same network going through a single cable or Fiber providing that you vLANed each of them and your network is at least gigabit.

Hey David how are you?? i was wondering, is there a way to use my DMXIS interface as Art-net thru QLC+ so i can use it with any console, or i should buy an Art-net interface no matter what???

I know you have checked out SoundSwitch and was wondering if SoundSwitch will be compatible or work with sACN? I know it works with art-net but there’s a brand new venue that is opening up in my area that will have DJ‘s only so it makes sense to have sound switch as our main DMX program.
In this situation, I’m just the house DJ and guy who controls the lights during his shows. The lighting consultant that I have brought in is asking about sound switch because we’re trying to decide if we are going to use the show lights for the house lights as well and use a node(s) To possibly control the house lights through a regular wall light switch.
He says it can be done but all of this is over my head and he asked if sound switch can do sACN?

It does not work with sACN, but I would definitely request it from the SoundSwitch developers - it's possible, they just have to make it happen!
