I remember doing the same with my cousin when we were younger in one Minecraft server and no, we weren't streaming or taking videos of course. One of the mods or admins even knew that we were using x-ray to find those diamonds easily since it was really hard to find them 12+ years ago but he was cool with it as long we didn't get caught by others. Fun memories...
We always tried our best to cover our tracks while mining so if another mod or admin would come and check us out, it would just feel like we were just lucky. On sidenote, I haven't touched any hacks for 12+ years unless I play single-player games which I prefer more.
