    Just like anyone, I feel that homemade baked goods are always the best. However, when you have to make a mass amount of Cookies, Cakes, Brownies, etc, there's only so much a human can do and that's where the machines come in.

    • @La_La_Land_
      @La_La_Land_ Před 2 lety

      Why 'the need' to make a mass amount of Cookies, Cakes & so on that are soulless and full of chemicals? In France, Italy, and Vienna, there are cafes and bakery shops almost on every corner. This way population gets freshly made, delicious pastry, the middle class isn't replaced by the machines, and life is enjoyable. No need to eat machine-made garbage.

      @@slpmaterialgirl1 Gloves only protect the wearer. For whatever they are touching, clean, washed hands are just as sanitary, if not more so, than gloves. Gloves provide a false sense of security. They are not sterile as they come out of a box that has been sitting in a supply closet for who knows how long, they are touched by the hands when you put them on, and that false sense of security often leads people to wash their hands less as well as touch their face or other dirty surfaces without ever changing their gloves. The only time gloves NEED to be worn is if the person has an injury on their hand. The vast majority of people that work with food do not wear gloves. That includes factories, restaurants, and bakeries.

    I'm a keen home baker. So I know the value of home cooked food. I'm also an engineer. It makes me a little sad when people say "soulless machines" or "not true artistry". Can't you imagine the amount of soul and creativity that goes into creating a machine like this? Just because it's made of stainless steel and cables and maths doesn't mean it wasn't the work of a human being using all their human artistry. Every time a machine did something in this video that made you laugh because it was clever or unexpected - somebody dreamed that idea up, and then they used all their skills to make it happen. Could you do that?
    Home baking and cooking, and ingenious food factory machines, can coexist in this world, and both be worthy of admiration.

      Not only that. The demand for hundred of thousands of cakes like this will always be there as long as there are millions of people in the world. I would much rather a machine do these repetitive, mind-numbing tasks rather than have hundreds of assembly line workers waste their lives and potential squirting exactly half a cup of jam onto a cake for 8 hours a day. Machines like this free up these people's lives to pursue jobs which only a human can do and make these products accessible and affordable to a greater slice of the population. Impressive machines, but I'd rather eat my Grandma's baked goods any day! Can't duplicate homemade.

    I always like to see the melding of art and science. The design and programming of these machines was an impressive feat. So many different choices for those who like sweets.

    I am a retired cake artist after 35 years. I would never allow my cakes to go out the door with what I saw. On many of the cakes I noticed
    many cakes with cake showing on the outside as well as many mistakes. The machines will never replace thosef cake artists with the
    pride and perfection we had

    I want that icing machine that frosts the cake top and side at the same time. That is the hardest part for me. By the time I get it perfectly smooth, I’ve wiped off almost all the icing and have to start again. That machine would save me an hour or more. 😂
