I hadn't noticed that until now that I'm reading your comment! 😱 I've been watching Ricky's videos a lot lately and I always go "Why does he look so enchanting when he sings?" 😄
colkid Glen omg I’m green with envy. I wish I could have been there too. But sadly, it’s impossible. And now, I’m a 19 year-old-girl who’s dreaming about being in the 50’s. Or was I there in another life?
@@Ms.Vivian-13 No you weren't there in another life. You only get one. I understand what you are saying but enjoy the music. These people have passed, but we do have their music to enjoy.
I adored Ricky. Saw him at the Steel Pier in Atlantic City. The old AC, before casinos, gambling, etc. When it was simply the gorgeous Jersey shore. I still have the guitar string he broke during the performance.
On this day in 1957 {October 22nd} on the ABC-TV program 'American Bandstand'; the show's host Dick Clark interviewed Ricky Nelson by phone... At the time Ricky had three records on Billboard's Top 100 chart; "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You" at #29, the record's flip-side, "Be-Bop Baby", was at #7, and "You're My One and Only Love" was at #54... R.I.P. Eric Hilliard Nelson {1940 - 1985} and Skip Young, who played Wally Plumstead, {1930 - 1993}…
A mad joke in early 50th past century with the deceased icon of usa pop music of all times God may bless his soul for all his legacy in american music and worldwide in the eternity
I have never seen this clip before. I loved it, it made me laugh and we all need to laugh. Ricky seemed to be enjoying himself too. Thanks so much for posting this great clip. I love R icky so much, loved him way back when and I still love him today.
When I watched re runs of "Ozzie and Harriet" I noticed Rick Nelson wore the coolest shirts that would be really nice to wear even today. Great voice and great story telling songs.
Wally never impressed me. An unfunny cheap mooch. Can't understand why he was anyone's friend but I suppose the writers thought he was comic relief. I just saw him as a user.
@@mircat28 Well, that's your opinion. A lot of people, including me, thought that he was funny. This show had good, clean humor- not like the gross and sickening so-called humor of today which is not the least bit funny.
this is way too cool - Wally AKA (original script character was named Skip Young) But Ozzie found out his real name was actually Wally (Wallace ) Plumstead , so Ozzie decided to use his real name for the character & then place Skip Young in as the actors real name on the credits .... typical Ozzie Zannie stuff-
He had that slow blinking of the eyes that drove the ladies wild.

Rick had very sexy eyes. Beautiful blue.
@@AngelicaHernandez-nw7ss I still watch Ricky on the family show and listen to his music 🎶🎸most days! ❤️❤️
David and his brother had the most adorable habit of doing the cutest slow blinking. They indeed were a handsome pair of brothers.
I saw him live in 1967 at the fair in San Diego. He was shy, and the music was just great.
Ricky had so many great hits in the 50's and early 60's.

This was a fun clip with Rick Nelson and Skip Young who played Wally Plumstead. They were hilarious!! Lol.
I wish I was there at that time💔
He can tell me those words any day! :-) Wonderful talent, great looks - what a shame his life ended too short.

I followed Ozzie and Harriet since radio days! I loved that family , this song and Ricky Nelson...Just wish this could be of Ricky alone...
Ricky idolized Elvis, they were friends!!What a duo that was!!!
Beautiful hardworking man.
This recording looks like it's from the early 60's and a testament as to how he had grown as a singer since first recording it in 1957.
This episode aired 11/1963.

Ricky is being bullied, and he seemed so helpless! OMG this is so funny!
Too handsome for his own good. No... He seemed humble. Loved the TV show. So simple. Sweet.
His lips
Every day I was told that he loved me but now I say it to his picture as he in heaven
I saw this when I was little. I just remembered.
I've always loved Ricky Nelson hes handsome and great singer and not bad actor either RIP ❤
