- Doctor Strange is without doubt one of the most powerful Marvel heroes, probably even more powerful than Thor himself. Originally a brilliant, although arrogant, neurosurgeon, Strange got into a car accident which resulted with his hands becoming crippled. When all Western medicine failed him, Strange embarked on a journey that led him into Kamar-Taj where Strange learned about magic. He became the Master of the Mystic Arts and protector of reality. Here are every display of Doctor Strange's powers, abilities, weapons/spells.

He achieved the peak of comedy when he made Wong laugh. After that, there was nowhere to go.
I don't. The Russos made a great decision making him the straight man, he's not supposed to be a damn comedian.
In Infinity War with the Eye of Agamotto, the directors Joe and Anthony Russo actually stated in an interview that Strange wasnt just peering into other potential timelines, he was living them. Each of the millions he lives through, and took copious notes, then had the loop restart after a set length of time. Considering he knew about his ressurection, (5+ yrs later) that timeline could've been decades.
The fact that he had the mental fortitude to do that and then just pop right back into the present and still be able to function is amazing. Its stated that in the first Doctor Strange movie when he's up against Dormammu he actually could have been in there for years, decades or longer. This is how he became so strong so fast he had all that practice. Dying a horrible, painful, death every 30 seconds for DECADES.

Thanos looks menacing, but he is still stronger than he looks. With thanos with his inf blade he could prob beat strange but with a lot of difficulty.
He could have killed thanos using portal creation..with the help of other avengers of course..he is smart but not creative

Just like Tony and Robert, I can't think of anyone else who could play Dr. Strange than Cumberbatch. Same with most of the characters, honestly. The casting director did a great job!

His fights need tons of money and time to do the CGI and plus they had to nerf him
His fights scenes takes ton of budget and CGI, that's why in the endgame in the name of stopping Thanos, he was holding off water.

Dr. Strange is that character who's very unpredictable. you can never know what to expect of him because he pulls these different spells or moves in each movie he's in and he just keeps getting better and better. I am so looking forward to seeing what he's going to do in Doctor Strange 2💙

@@davek417 the time stone was a big hit to his power, but if you need that to win your fights then you're not really all that amazing by yourself. without the time stone however, MCU strange would suck some ass against wanda.
Actually he spent 1000 years honing his skills during the time loop with Dormammu. That's how he became so powerful and experienced in short time...

His most powerful ability is his photographic memory. He doesn’t need the tome or pages to recite powerful spells, including the book of white magic which is his most powerful. His clothing also has no spell markings to prevent foes from reciting against him. He is truly the master of Earth Wind and Fire, which is why the song shining star by the music group of the same name was his introduction song to 2016 Dr. Strange. He is by far, one of the most powerful beings in the MCU and multiverse.

Just remember that Strange could have trained to master his abilities especially during his bargain with Dormammu which could have taken at least decades or a thousand years. You can notice it on how he gets better with every loop after his deaths.

the crimson bands are usually considered unbreakable, though they’ve been broken many times by many people.

Let's be real here. Strange was the MVP of Infinity War. Seeing him fight Thanos with all his different abilities was so COOL!
Didn't even land a significant blow.

Idk if this was commented before but that refilling mug scene is a reference to Norse Mythology where Thor challenged giants to a drinking game. Thor drank and drank but the liquid remained at the same level, turns out it was connected to the sea. Thor drank so much that it lowered sea levels. This was the explanation of tides. This drinking challenge is one of the 4 mockeries that Utgard-Loki did to Thor.

Really gets you excited for multiverse of madness 🤩
I loved how Multiverse of Madness showcased the variety of spells he has at his disposal. Of course he still uses basic eldritch whips, shield spells, his sling ring and the Cloak of Levitation, but I loved the scenes where cast fire, summoned supernatural creatures, projected a giant pair of hands, weaponised music, and even took control of the spirits of the dead.
There's one major change to Strange's magic I really like. In the comics, he used chants which got kinda weird. In the films, he doesn't, which is so much better.
Making it a lot less like Harry Potter,lol
the hand motions also look really cool
and some people say he WASN'T nerfed in the multi-verse of madness, my guy didn't use 10% of these spells properly
Dr. Strange is my favorite character, such subtle swagger being emitted from him.
Doctor Strange is definitely one of my favorite MCU characters. Super underrated. Can't wait for his next movie.

People think Scarlet Witch is the best, but in Infinity War, Thanos had to use all four stones to fight Doctor Strange, and sometimes even two stones at once.
Edit: For all the people saying chaos magic is more powerful than eldritch magic, any magic is unhelpful if you can’t control it, and Scarlet Witch loses control of her powers everytime she does her emotions
Well scarlet witch is getting stronger as time passes and in infinity war/endgame she still wasn't as strong as she is post endgame with her emotions letting her go wild.

Dr. Strange is my favorite Marvel character, especially in the MCU. BUT why is his main thing these two dinky little shields? I get it in the first movie because he was a novice, he should be able to have a badass new main weapon.
But by far if I could be anyone I would be Strange, the wide range of uses is insane and powerful. An Iron Man/Strange Combo is my dream

@@MelianLimGachaVideos Yeah maybe. He pulls out a lot of other spells on the fly, he's great at improv. My best guess is it has to do with movie making, it's well known, they don't have to research comics to pull something off if, they can probably reuse a lot of animation elements. That's the sad boring truth.
Although I'm still so happy with how much they gave him in IF/EG. He was a major part of the plan, and we got to see a wide array of spells
Probably because all the other wizards of his kind use the shields.
Conjuring that mini shields are really versatile, since most magician have a human body they really need that shield to protect themselves first and dont forget strange and other magicians can throw the mini shields if they want to go offense

Benedict Cumberbatch was the right choice to play Dr. Strange. I love that Marvel showed all his abilities and powers. Now I can't wait to see what Dr. Strange conjures in the Multiverse of Madness.
