From the first season dustin was fun loving personalitu secured of vecna/mind flayer because he had no bad or nightmare memories but after the death of eddie we kinda saw him in traumic state because he finds himself guilty for eddie's death and by taking the advantage of this vecna will haunt him by showing the halucination of eddie in season 5 now we can say that dustin is not even secured of vecna (belive that).
eh i mean were revealed that vecna had a reason to kill. It was to get four gates to open to hawkins. I dont think the same basis of guilt or trauma will go into season 5

I'm actually thinking it's Max instead. She's in a very vulnerable state given her condition and it's heavily impiled that Vecna has taken Max's soul when El entered her mind in the hospital. I believe that Vecna will use Max as a vessel to continue his plans; when Max wakes up, she'll pretend to be herself (when it's really Vecna). Near the end of the season, either Dustin or Erica will discover that Max has been Vecna'd and the crew have to stop her. Will will instead be the guide, like the role he had in S3 but to a much bigger extent.

Most likely they don't start with a time jump in EP 1, I think ep 1 is gonna be right after the end of S4 y'know catching up and then they have a time jump on ep 2 they jump probably 2-3 years later where almost everything is destroyed Vecna is once again awakened, the mindflayer has come to Hawkins and flayed a good amount of ppl and The War with the Upside Down and the Right Side Up has been going on since the end of S4

Honestly it felt like such a missed opportunity to let Steve survive. All the hints were pointing at him dying heroically and it kinda feels like the writers had the intention of killing Steve instead of Eddie but then changed their mind. Steve and Dustin already had a conversation about the fact that they were always paired up, and Steve was annoyed with the fact that he always got to be the babysitter. It would’ve made way more sense if Steve and Dustin worked together and then Steve sacrificed himself to save Dustin, showing what a true hero he has become since the first season. It would also make more sense for Dustin’s character because he was way closer with Steve than with Eddie, there hasn’t even been that many scenes with Dustin and Eddie bonding until the last episode. I think it would also be better to kill Steve just because the show _always_ kills off the new characters and lets everyone else live or have a fake out death. Killing one of the main characters would’ve showed how the stakes have been raised and now nobody is safe because they’re not afraid to kill off the favourites. Instead they proved that they are, in fact, afraid to kill off favourites and they killed the new guy and brought Max back from the dead. I should point out though that it _was_ kind of necessary for Eddie to be part of the bat bait group otherwise we wouldn’t get his awesome upside down concert.
