I think when CP Mary married CP Frederik, it brought that monarchy to life. Children were born and are being raised beautifully with impeccable manners. Joachim, after his divorce, seemed to come alive when he found his Mary doppleganger to marry and have children. This helped also. They are now very much involved with society and as a country making and receiving state visits etc. It is time for the Queen Margerithe to step down so the exciting new generation can begin ruling and begin liviing.
Jocelyn Loveday, the Queen is in reasonable health and is not going to step down any time soon. She has repeatedly said that she will remain on her perch until her last breath just like her distant cousin, Elizabeth in England. However, she is handing more and more assignments over to the younger royals. The Royal family is hugely popular and much loved in Denmark. Polls show that as much as 83% of the Danish population are in favour of the monarchy. I'm a Dane and very proud of our Royal Family.
