    THE SPECS:
-HDV 1080i deinterlaced to 59.94 progressive via AVIsynth and VirtualDub
-Edited in After Effects, using Twixtor, speed set to 20%, background sensitivity at 100%, with "motion blended weights" and "inverse with smart blend" selected
    THE STORY:
So basically, I originally edited this video with After Effect's "time stretch" only. Then I saw this footage literally the day after: www.vimeo.com/16340475
I was amazed by the plug in! I was like a little kid at a candy store. Scratch that. I was like the kid at the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory! I wanted to test Twixtor myself. First time using the plug in. There's some warping in each shot due to the fact that I'm just plugging in random numbers for each variable. I also turned on pixel motion...but overall not bad for a camera that shoots interlaced HDV footage! And on top of that, everything was shot free handed (no tripods....big mistake).
After this little experiment, I took note of a few things to remember for next time. CONTRAST! Objects against blank backgrounds (like the sky) works the best. Larger objects passing in front of the camera will make warping more noticeable. "Clapping" definitely makes warping noticeable! Tall gigantic aliens staring into your soul is perfect for twixtor!

hey would you know what the cheapest best camera for twixtor would be? like does it only have to run at 60 fps?
