Three years later and SSC still isn’t as popular as you’d imagine. I frequent a lot of car CZcams and I haven’t come across a single hypercar-CZcamsr that has one organically without physically searching “SSC owner.”
Yup 😂 what else did you expected they were racing and benchmarking against a 15-16 years old Hypercar it stands no chance against Chiron , Agera R and Jesko Absolut and American Hypercars aren’t that well established or renowned across the entire world like Bugatti because Bugatti was the first one to do that in entire world and they have a legacy of around 115 years of doing this continuously across the entire world also all European Super car manufacturers like Lambhorghini , Ferrari etc all of them have legacy of atleast 60+ years of doing this meanwhile wasn’t even in the competition until around late 90’s the company was established back in 1997-98 and they build their first hypercar back in around 2000-2001 and have produced only three different hypercars till now compared to Bugatti who has done it atleast more than ten times since early 2000’s alone i’m not even talking about the 90’s and 80’s , American hypercars are also not that good stereotypically which many people believe they want to buy the legacy old school established hypercar brands instead of the brands like these SSC etc which came up only about 25-26 years ago also Bugatti was the first Hypercar to go past 400 kmph and first to have a 1000+ bhp engine which no car had for years from 2005 up until 2010-2011 it ruled over the Hypercar markets around the entire world 🌍 SSC can’t match that legacy no matter how much more powerful car SSC produces now some other brand will come with even more powerful car and manage to beat them the competition is at very high level now it’s peak and it’s easier to do it now compared to back then around 18-20 years ago it used to be much harder.

It’s finally official. Rimac, the Croatian electric hypercar start-up, will take control of Volkswagen’s Bugatti brand in a deal that cements its position as an established automotive force.
The new company will be called Bugatti Rimac and be led by Mate Rimac, who founded the eponymous group in 2009 in his garage and has grown it to become one of the industry’s most called-upon technology providers.
The company’s electric and battery systems have found their way into cars from Aston Martin and Pininfarina to Jaguar, and the racing arm of VW’s Seat brand.
Being controlled by an electric specialist is also a major departure for Bugatti, which markets its hypercars on 16-cylinder engines and guttural tones.
However, the advent of battery technology has led to speeds that even the most highly-tuned combustion vehicles struggle to match: the upcoming Rimac Nevera is expected to be the fastest model ever built, a title previously held by the Bugatti Chiron.
