Mr.Tim you're water well, and the pump is the cream of the crop, man. That's an awesome water well and pump 👏
Thanks 👍
World of difference from what Mama V had to go through! Congratulations on water 🥳👏👍
So true!
This may be the most professional well job I've ever witnessed. These people delivered the premium package. Happy for you.
Thanks!
Hi Tim another one off the list. Now you have water. Good video, it’s interesting start to finish. 👍👍❤️❤️🖐️
Thanks 👍
Thanks for letting us watch . It is so interesting.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Well that was very interesting! So much so close to the surface. When I had mine dug 44 years ago here in NE Ohio, they put a cast iron 6" pipe down 75'. We drilled a hole in the side for a Pitless adaptor and hung the 1 1/4" black water pipe and pump from that. Pipe and electric runs 4' underground to the nearby 10x10' basement that holds all the electric, control box, pressure gauge and water tank, as well as my water purification system and hot water tank. I never worry about below 0 temps as that basement stays warm-even when it was 25 below. I've already changed out everything, which was a breeze being in the basement.
Oh wow!
That’s a pro team..✌️🇨🇦
Oh yeah!
lay a layer of bricks around faucet and pump so later down the road somebody dosent dig and mess up the pump .map out where your utilites are and how deep on paper too
Yes! It's nice to have these videos to back and see too!
In NY our well drilling trucks don't require water. They drill until they find it. Then I have them test every new water hole for all contaminants. If they find any, they have to keep drilling until they find a pocket that passes all tests.
They use the water to continuously flush the line here.
The best well drilling video I've ever seen was H2O mechanics on CZcams
Congrats Tim.
Thx!
Let’s Go Ridge Life ✌️😎
Thanks!
You also have a beautiful spot for a pond. That deep 50’ valley. Dam low point and use use L shape culvert piping for pound level control with exit through bottom of earthen dam. Beautiful property. Many more ideas. 😊
That was fun! Glad you have water!
Thanks!
They made it look easy , Tim nice going .
Yes!
Great learning video Tim. Nice clear water , Thanks joey
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Tim that is so awesome watching them get your well in. So much has been done on the Ridge. Congratulations. Its coming along fast. I'm happy for you. Love the drone footage. I've never seen that done before now I can say I have . Thats amazing. 140 feet thats deep. Yes we have a lot of rocks and sulphur here. Have a great day and God Bless Go RidgeLife ❤
Thanks 👍 so much!
Water tower mostly for looks. Water catchments for winter. Then pump off as needed to tower.
Great video, as you said there was a lot more involved than i thought. Professional and very well organized.
You got that right!
Glad to see the progress Tim, excited for the rest!
Thanks
Great video Tim! Very interesting how a well how’s in. You’re so lucky to have such great sand and crystal clear water!
Yes I am! Thanks!
Great video Tim I've never seen the tank buried like that before. God Bless from your Canadian Friend.
Yeah we do stuff differently in the south. Thanks!

Thx!
Awesome video Tim. So happy you have water. Go Ridge Life ❤❤❤❤
Thx!
Oh Tim!!! Wouldn’t it be great if you hit black gold??? Like the Beverly Hillbillies! Loved that show. I winced a bit when they had to dig a water trench.. after all Josh’s work. 😱 Necessary but ouch! I am really enjoying watching it all come together for you. So exciting. 🎉👌👍👏👏👏 fascinating watching them clean each end of the PVC and apply the glue.
Haha! Yes!
Thanks for sharing this. It was very informative. Love following your channel I have never seen a bladder tank buried. I thought it would have been in a building.
We do things a bit different in our climate and soil type!
Wow Tim you certainly have a forest around you there.
Oh yeah!
Well is done now the next fase 😊
Yes!
Nice...I wish there was some way to get that for DD5 but they grow rocks out that way 😊. I'm looking forward to your homestead taking shape in the fullness of time. Go RidgeLife
Slowly but surely!
This was Awesome loved it Tim I’ve never seen that before Way Cool
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video Tim! My well was dug 8 yrs ago @ 185 ft. but I do have some iron! That sand you have is purdy!
Oh yeah!

Be well be safe
Thx!

Grizzly Adam’s green horns. ❤

Ha!
Livestock chickens, Rabbits, gouts, pigs, and milkers. Anything else is choice.
My late husband worked for a well driller company in St Louis Michigan. I remember when we drilled our well we got to 100' he said 1 more pipe if we didn't hit water it cost so much a foot afterwards. I was lucky at 112' hit a spring and had so much water. Test said it was perfect, but up by my house it was 75' and nasty, iron, so much yuk. We had the tank under our house w the pump inside the 5" casing. Cost me $4500, back in 2007. Here in Arizona its like 20k for first 120', no guarantee. We witched in Michigan. Did you have it witched to see where it water was? Hooray water on the Ridge🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Oh wow!
Hi Tim
Howdy!
Tim how about drifting dreamers? Do they live near enough for them to drill a well for them? The need one bad. Glad you are going to have water on the home place! It will make such a difference and make it feel more like home now for sure.
Thanks. No they are 5 hrs away.
Swamp cooler apposed to energy sucking AC. Especially if your running of solar. Keeps thing cool enough.
Nice video
Thanks!
You also have a beautiful spot for a pond. That deep 50’ valley. Dam low point and use use L shape culvert piping for pound level control with exit through bottom of earthen dam. Beautiful property. Many more ideas. 😊future garden… I assume you have bee keeping experience. Look at SLR and CRC gardens size and screen shot n using bee hive. No pesky bugs.
Great idea!
Happy you have water & your journey is continuing 🙏🇺🇲
Yes! Thank you!
Best order your sand filter now.
None needed here! We have sweet clear water on all our local wells!
Most definitely look like good water. I would have hooked up a generator and let it run all night.
@@ronnydowdy7432 I’m going to today I think. He said let it run for like 5hrs
140ft is pretty sweet. I'd be happy with twice that depth. Wells within a mile of me range from 150 to 458 feet. The closest is 458 and the clsecond closest in the opposite direction is 247 feet. About the same distance away. So our Wells are all over the place
Wow! That's a huge range.
@@RidgeLife yep. And all the ones I searched to get those numbers are within1/4 mile of me. Lots of hard rock, so the flow of underground water here is kinda unpredictable, so I decided I don't care what people think of it, I'm getting some dowsing rods and getting as many people I can out here to witch for water. Better than just tossing a lawn dart in the air and drilling where it lands🤣
Go RidgeLife ❤
Thx!
Hope all this go as planned and to your satisfaction. 3 years ago a tree fell on my house and destroyed it but these 3 acres are payed for. I had been retired for 4 years and didn't won't to go in a big payment so I pulled a Tim and got a 28 ft camper. Enjoy you and the rest of the family videos. Maybe someday I will run into you on the road ,I ride motorcycles to....
Oh yeah! Yes sir!
Consider, solar, wind, and geothermal also. 3 is better than one.
Congratulations of water
Thx!
ONE OF MY COUSINS WELLS IN CALIFORNIA IS OVER 800 FEET. HE LIVES 700 FEET UP ON A HILL.
Oh wow!
So you don't live on a mountain in Tennessee . You live on a sand dune! 😂 Congrats on getting water. Texas Deb
@@godsgreenacreshomestead708 ha! No sand at the surface but apparently it’s down there deep!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Water power also. But haven’t seen any creeks on property. Otherwise you’d have for power sources.
Awesome and wasn't too deep.
Yes!
harvest season us ge most crucial part of our garden all the hard work pays off its canning time reap the rewards!
For sure!
That was very cool to watch. We don't really have wells dug in the UK for domestic water - pretty much mains water everywhere, so to see this is fascinating to me. I bet your water tastes amazing, not like the limescale and cholrine flavoured mains water in most parts of England 🤮 Welsh and Scottish Highlands water though is yummy.
Sweet and clean! Thanks!
💧
Hi Tim, boy I was riveted to this computer just dies bulged out so to speak I didn't doze one time oh my gosh they sure work hard I hope all these wives and children all know how hard they're daddy's work husbands I guess they do I didn't know there was that much to well-being build and that big blue tank at some time does it rest or is it rust proof or do they replace them after a while.? I sure thank you for this lesson how hard are American guys work to keep USA a better place thanks for the video💙❤☘☘☘
You sure got that right!
Swallow bird house see everywhere for bug control.
All well casings are put in with metal pipe that can be drilled for run off if the well is too active, and welded to put in the needed piping to feed it to the pump house.
WOW~!
✌️
Plant clover instead of grass. Expept you plan on harvesting straw.
I planted clover and fescue mix.
Hey Tim loved this video we just bought land and was wondering why mark the Ground with X for well we just got a flag put from county in Virginia! We're new to this do you grade we want some what level were getting older to walk... we'll then septic we! We had the well man triple the price after we bought the land! No drilling nothing as of yet so we're in a pickle 🤑 My husband says help Tim!!!💪🧒
Oh wow!
Say Hey to him!
Love the intro
Thx!
But Tim, are you putting a bunker under your house ? 😂
Nope!
💫👍👍👍
Congratulations!
How many gallons per minute does your well produce?
Glad you didn’t get a dry hole.
Thanks for sharing. Take care, see ya :)
It’s a 10gpm pump I believe.
👋😊👍👋🙏
❤
A bit too late, but don’t forget to leave room for orchard. Apple, Pair, Cherry, Peach, etc. takes five years before fruit baring. Garden hopefully will be more productive than those desert transplants. Good grief corn.
Oh yeah! Definitely some fruit trees!
I'm back for day two.
Yes!
Green house for growing herbs and starts for garden. If you read my incoherent messages. I’m creating a biosphere…
🇳🇴👍👍🥇
The guy with the paint brush, it didn't look like he was painting on that sealer
all the way around the PVC pipe that was going to be inserted into the one
that was under it. He did paint all around the interior of the lower one tho.
If I'm right and he missed painting the back side of the upper one, will it
still seal/stick, to prevent leaks? Just asking bcos I'm OCD like you . lololo
How is it that the hole didn't collapse once they removed the drilling pipes?
Yeah I just have to trust them. My ocd is strong!
@@RidgeLife - You didn't answer my question at the end:
How is it that the hole didn't collapse once they removed the drilling pipes, to insert the white PVC pipes? I always wondered about that part. Especially since you have sand in that hole.
Do you know?
If you don't know, maybe you could ask them if you ever see them again and make a video about it.
It's very interesting.
@@OMGaNEWBIE yeah I thought same thing. Unfortunately, they won’t be back out until I drill another well. If I see them, I will ask though.
I GUESS THE RIDGE AINT ROCKY TOP.
For sure!
Could be a lot of gold in the sand if you sifted it out.
Ooh Cool!
@@RidgeLife I know guys who buy sand for kids to play in at Home Depot and sift out the gold. Most do pretty good.
Tim did you take pictures and measurements for your “As Build” drawings 😊
Nope!
Tis ’Tis ‘Tis you will be sorry 😣
I do have videos though of all the work and steps.
Green house for growing herbs and starts for garden. If you read my incoherent messages. I’m creating a biosphere…wood stove for heating. Good grief your youtub comity forgot about this necessity. Double burner wood stove is clean!
Very cool!
Tim did you give it the smell and taste test yet??
Last well I had drill hit water at 110 feet but he said that it was only 6 feet of water so he drilled to 215 feet and put 60 more feet of drill rods and never hit anything else.
So I had at least 60 feet of water but he only put 12 feet of casing into the water.
You could hear water flowing through the casings at the top.
He said that we hit a underground river.
Oh yeah! It's great! Sweet!
Get all my 67 years of living I have never seen a well drilled and done the way they're doing this one here don't look real to me
We sure do things differently in the South!
@@RidgeLife in Alabama we sure do things deathly different
