    Eric Weinstein just explained the problem with average people having access to the internet and all the worlds knowledge. Most people can take the info in, but they can’t prune it properly and thus end up connecting dots in all the wrong ways. That’s how you end up with flat earthers and other stupid conspiracy theorists in the 21st century. It’s not for lack of knowledge, it’s because of an overwhelming amount of info being unloaded on the uneducated mind.

      Academia is being used in the sense of active research. A PhD student is actively doing research within their field. That's what a doctoral dissertation is about.
      People that earn PhDs tend to continue their research, or teach. Sometimes both.

Too many people think that his podcasts reflect his thinking and react negatively when, in fact he's just chasing ratings.
    As for Eric Weinstein, you're spot on. The IDW members have proved themselves to be pretentious, unserious types that are willing to throw away their previous positions when advantageous - Peterson embracing religion, Shapiro shutting down free speech in favour of Israel and Harris staying that he doesn't care about Biden's capacity as long as Trump loses. A lot of people saying Eric is basically in the same boat as Terrance for his theory. But thats not true, Eric learned math and physics, and he has asked for help from people with stronger skills to help him finish it. He doesnt think that math and physics is broken, he thinks the community is.

    • @anthonyzaradich9938
      @anthonyzaradich9938 Před 4 dny +9

      So Eric IS SORT OF in the same camp. The difference between Terrence and Eric is that Eric actually has an education and understands A LOT in mathematics. The problem is Eric has gone down a weird path with his own "theory of everything".
      Eric is genuinely upset with the scientific community for them not taking him seriously when he was unable to provide any derivations or proofs for how his unifying theory worked. (He....lost them? If you had the solution to the theory of everything I don't understand how you'd lose anything in regards to it. lol)
      That said, Eric is an extremely smart man. Definitely capable of humbling Terrence Howard and his sycophants if they could even understand a small portion of what he was saying.
