More record releases partys happened at this small local venue than any other venue because it had a fucking energy like no other and this is where bands wanted to play raw and dirty. Something you had to experience in a time and in that place! LIKE NO OTHER!

The showcase was a safe haven for us growing up in the 90s and 00s. You can't find legit places to have good show at a good price!

Backside used to play af this one venue my band would play in Anaheim California. I still have a flier with Backside one night and my band the next night. The place originally was called Public Storage (Not the storage unit place most might assume) then a white back they changed the name of the venue to Chain Reaction.
Chain Reaction is actually still in business.
Never liked playing there because we hated selling tickets to play.

I don't think Backside has any songs that I didn't like.
