The transition from the intro into sacrifice theory was flawless. this is prime AFI. locked in. No fancy technology, just stage monitors and live sound. It sounds like the album
By the end of the tour they were safety pinned in crotch, those pants put in work😂😂. Such a great snapshot of a wonderful and exciting time in punk rock

Wow, this footage turned out better than I thought, so I switched from my phone to my smart TV. The sound was great and your steady hand zooming in was pretty decent, thank you for this footage
I wasn't sure at first but this footage turned out to be amazing. You can hear the crowd and the band which is so important for their performance, the songs clearly intended for audience engagement
I saw them in Calgary on that tour, a favorite song of mine was Midnight Sun, and having seen them live a few times I always assumed they didnt play it live because the whispered poem part couldnt be done to the same effect (really frigging creepy). Well they played it that time, and boy was I wrong... if anything it was somehow even more creepy. Never much cared for their old stuff, and I totally hate their new stuff... but nobody can take away the fact that in somewhere in the middle they managed to make two of the greatest punk albums ever recorded.

Wow! Excellent video considering it was 2001. Was this recorded from the sound tent? This exact show was my first show ever. We missed half the set since my scalped ticket turned out to be fake. Had to run to the box office and use my food and tshirt money to but another one, smh. Sooo hungry by the evening I almost asked a complete stranger for some popcorn during 311's set. It eventually went away when we rocked out to Fenix TX who closed the show.
AFI would be so much better if they stayed punk like this. The thing is that their sound had already grown a lot from the first albums at this point. They went too soft and commercial after this. This was like their Master of Puppets era lol.

I went to the show in Chula Vista this year. Similar set from what I can remember. Favorite band at this time.
