O man, this song came to me to soon. My grandpa lost his battle to mantel cell lymphoma 2 years ago. It helps me to know my grandpa had a happy love filled life. He joined the navy during the Vietnam war, married my grandma and had 3 children. He got to watch my baby girls grow to the age of 2. He was 72 when he was diagnosed but it was already stage 4, and he passed away in his sleep, he was 74. What hurts is, I live 1hr 30m way and my mom and I were planning to go visit him the day before he passed. I wish I could of said goodbye and tell him one more time I love you.

Billy, this song was written by Sonya Isaacs of the Bluegrass Gospel group, The Isaacs. She wrote it for her mother who had and beat cancer. The woman in the video who said, "All I wanted to do is raise my children," is Sonya's mother, Lily. Sonya also sang back up with Martina on this. If you get a chance and you like family harmony, listen to the Isaacs version of this song.
As we are coming into Memorial Day weekend, I wanted to thank you for your service. Keep doing what you're doing.

I am a three-time cancer survivor and I survived cervical cancer. I am so glad there are support systems for women. I didn't have any. I was told to get over it I was told just count your blessings people didn't want to hear about it and my ex-husband asked me if that meant that I was going to not be able to make dinner for the rest of the week. I have prayed for support systems from myself but I guess in one way my prayer was answered because there are support systems for others.

I lost my Aunt Karen to Lymphoma back in October of 2010 after she fought for 2 years. At first, I’d hear her from my bedroom at night, basically begging God to let her live so she could be with her family.
After trying all kinds of treatments and going to specialists there wasn’t a change. The tumors didn’t get larger or increased in quantity, but they also didn’t shrink either.
She changed her bargaining terms with God after that. Every night before bed, and every morning when she woke up, I’d hear my Auntie pleading (this is verbatim): “Dear God, if you won’t let me get better and live my life with my family and people who I love and need me around, can you at least to me one last favor? Please just let me live long enough to see my first grandchild, my little grandson, start school. I just want to be there for his first day of Kindergarten, then you can have me.”
Every time I hear this song she’s all I can think about. She was more of a mom to me than my bio mother ever was. The whole family was devastated and has never been the same since her death.
When you love someone to that level and they’re that important to you, you never “move on or get over it” that hole in your heart never gets filled ever again. You just learn to live carrying that hurt around.

This song was written by a gospel group the Issacs. They wrote it when they're mother was diagnosed with cancer

My sister just found out she will never be able to have children because she has an early stage of cervical cancer, and she has to have her uterus removed. I'm trying to be supportive, more now because her husband left her only two weeks after she was diagnosed. She's living me and our parents now. I'm going to be there for her through this no matter what.

June 12th, 2016. I lost my grandpa to lung cancer. From the time he was diagnosed until the day he died. Every weekend 11 of hid 13 grandkids and his 5 great grandchildren were at his house. Cleaning cooking spending time with him. We knew his time was coming and when it did the American Red Cross played such a huge part in bringing his other 2 grandchildren home from overseas for his funeral. He was never alone he knew that.
