    Thank you for making this review spicy! I've had this tool in my Amazon Wishlist for Tools for a while now and been putting off looking for reviews to buy or not buy. Your video was super informative with a very nice "everyone can use this you don't have to be a professional" can't of vibe to it. I like these types of reviews. Rock on

    My first Dremel 3000 - stopped working just after 1 year wifh very light usage. Second, (I had to buy, no replacement deal) Had switch issues right out of the box. Great tool but crappy quality. Appreciate this video. Giving TrackLife a go. Even if it performed as badly as Dremel, still a much better deal.

    Thanks for your rotary tool comparison. I have a Dremel model 245 I bought as a teenager in 1977 for $35 usd. It’s a single speed model with bearings that require a couple drops of oil every so often. Still running fine and have yet to replace the brushes. I recently picked up an Dremel model 2000 as an open box special for the same price I paid for the the 245 back in 77. Will see how it holds up.

    My dremel 3000 broke after a month, basically three uses. The bearing went out. I usually fix stuff but you can’t take the front bearing out of the armature without some serious tools and accuracy to put it back together. In case you think I abused it, I have a 20 year old dremel that still runs perfect. I’m glad this video is here, dremel is building things to fail now imo.

    Your vice must be in the same post as my bench grinder I’ve been waiting 2 months for with an ever moving ETA. I have 170w VonHaus rotary (£25), I only intend do small engravings in my photograph frames and so far it’s plenty for me. I will only ever use my flexi cable which I find much easier for a newbie part timer like myself. I've cut a metal birdbath down to have no metal welded where it had gone rusty and I sanded ground the metal down to make it blend. That’s my only metal experience except to reshape a plane blade, but that was just rounding the corners to make it my rough plane. I got the Track 230 piece too, the grinding stones certainly managed my bath and plane. The sharpening stone might be to sharpen the blunt drill bit.
    I often print my photographs on to heavy canvas paper, I’m thinking of doing a massive panorama I shot of the Solway broken down into 5 x A3+ prints with a staggered horizon resin coated. That alone is reason to subscribe to see how you do.
    A very interesting video, thank you.

      spicy110 Unfortunately not, I think there’s about 3 things I'm still waiting for replacements or refunds for. A router that the first bit I used couldn’t be undone to get it out (so they have my rebate bit as well), 35 sheets of A3+ photography paper that arrived creased, and two cans of oil that had no cap on so I got a parcel of very oily cardboard. All three are U.K. based. I ain’t holding my breath for 5he router and oil.

    I've never had a rotary tool before and was sifting through catalogs and web sites when I came across this Tacklife one. At the moment I'm mostly just tearing down cheap particle board/hollow board furniture that I no longer need to make some new things. I got a circular saw for the big stuff, but I needed something for smaller work. Your comparison helped me make my choice to try the Tacklife one as it was less expensive than the Dremel and other brands. (I would have used your link for Amazon, but I'm in Japan.) I'm trying to make sure I do something with it every day to put it through the paces and see how well it holds up with daily use.

    For tacklife being 23 dollars on amazon right now January 11th 2021 half the price of a Dremel, is totally worth it hell I can buy tacklife and 20 dollars to spend on accessories an still be under the dremel price.....can't beat that. And the tacklife seems as good as the overpriced tools if your wondering the drill bit it's a drywall bit that u thought was broken

  • @acuralee
    @acuralee Před 6 lety

    The "scrap metal bit" looks like a rotary bit... you'd use it for cutting acrylic with the plastic depth rotary piece.... it actually works great as I use the Tacklife dremel for cutting thick acrylic for custom computer case mods... making motherboard backs and midplates. Good video... Tacklife is new to me however I have a cordless drill/screw driver etc.... it was cheap.. not really made for drilling holes but helps with assembling anything from IKEA lol.. thus far none of their products have broken on me.

    I purchased this to do some light PC case modification along with the dremel tungsten carbide cutting bit. czcams.com/users/postUgkxfPgcZ5_Cl0HDUKkMJAKde11YKQZVgMoR I had to remove a flange from my PC case that was preventing my monitor cable from fully seating in my GPU's HDMI connector, and after hacking away at this 2mm flange with a hand file I broke down and purchased this (at Home Depot).I have to say it's fantastic, and by far the best rotary tool I've used. No wobble or give from the shaft, plenty enough torque for light metal work, and decent battery life. The WC bit ate through the steel frame quite easily, and the chuck seemed to hold it firmly. This may seem obvious, but I especially appreciated the cordless nature of the tool since I was holding it at odd angles to ensure I didn't shower the inside of my PC with metal shavings.TL;DR, this is the one to get for light-medium duty work.

    Nice one Spicy! I was just about to order a Dremel, but nope, gone for a Tack thingy instead. So thanks for that. And by the way, you're a pollock 😉

      @@spicy110 thanks. Looks like this will be my next order. I have some special attachments for my Dremel Wich are the only reason I use it. Makes no sense to order this if I lose the use of my tools. Good video.

    Estás comparando la copia del Dremel 4000.
    Debieras compararlo con el Dremel 4000 no uno inferior.
