  • Martyn Cummins first came to Blair Atholl as a young boy while on holiday with his grandfather. He fell in love with the village, the station and the trains - so much so that, in later life, he abandoned his career as a graphic designer and became a train guard. He still visits Blair Atholl with his own family and still runs to the station when he hears a train approaching.
His own words were recorded in February 2024 as part of the Oral Histories Project of the Friends of Blair Atholl Station.
