  • Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colorless, odorless gas that can be deadly when inhaled in high concentrations. CO is produced by the incomplete combustion of fossil fuels such as natural gas, oil, and wood, and it can be released by malfunctioning or improperly vented appliances like furnaces, water heaters, and stoves.
Carbon monoxide alarms detect the presence of CO gas in indoor environments and provide early warning if dangerous levels are detected.
If your CO alarm ever goes off, or if you suspect a CO leak, it's crucial to evacuate your home immediately and call 911.
