Reneigh was my first starting villager and I just need to say she is tops. I loved her so much, after a game reset (dont ask RIP) I just kept loading up the game until I got her as a starter again. She has the play hobby which means that she Naruto runs everywhere, and love it. Even her basic house is pretty cool (purple roof & black door).
Also it was a big miss to have Renee not be Rini, she's even wearing a sailor uniform and I feel like it's a rhino pun. I know Rini is only an adaption for Chibiusa's name, but it makes me laugh to think of a Rino version of Chibi Moon.
I had reneigh but as I progressed I started hating my island name ash I reset. I miss reneigh but at least I was rewarded for resetting by getting dom, a star lake, oranges and cosmos on my 1st try

There’s nothing wrong with liking Raymond. I didn’t initially want him, but he showed up at my campsite on the same day I found out I needed glasses, so I considered it a sign lol. Turns out he’s very sweet and I really like him!

I agree, it would be great to be able to go to different islands from an NMT trip but I guess the developer's wouldn't have seen much use for it. They probably wouldn't have really intended for people to hunt for villagers the way they do.
I also feel like it's to elongate how long you play the game, which would be weird since the company wouldn't necessarily benefit from people playing the game longer? But sometimes it feels like the constant dialogue and repetitive actions like making things was done purely to increase your playtime. 🤷♂️
nah i’m sure they knew it’d be like that, they know the community pretty well since they implemented some of the things people wanted way before NH (like choosing a spot for a villager’s house, laying down paths etc) and there used to be a villager market in NL as well

In my experience, the less you spend the more rare the villagers are. Stiches and Raymond were met 6 days apart. Stiches were 2 tickets, Raymond was 5 tickets

Small little thing I do when going through mystery islands is trying to make Orville do the joy reaction with me. It tends to give me decent island luck, but knock on wood.
Dom was one of my starters but I gave him away today to my friend. I like Dom but he is my friend's dreamie. I kicked him out via Amiibo, using Rosie's Amiibo. She has picked him up after he went in boxes and she's really happy.
When I built the first 3 plots, I started hunting for villagers and hoped to find either Marshal, Raymond, or Sherb. On the 3rd try, I actually got Sherb. I hope you find him! He's the absolute most precious villager I have. He's pretty cute too. Also congrats on finding one of your dream team members!
I was campsite grinding for raymond, and Sherb sat there, eating a chocolate donut, waiting for me. He kept complaining he forgot to bring his tv to the campsite lol

In my experience, the less you spend the more rare the villagers are. Stiches and Raymond were met 6 days apart. Stiches were 2 tickets, Raymond was 5 tickets

Dom was one of my starters but I gave him away today to my friend. I like Dom but he is my friend's dreamie. I kicked him out via Amiibo, using Rosie's Amiibo. She has picked him up after he went in boxes and she's really happy.
When I built the first 3 plots, I started hunting for villagers and hoped to find either Marshal, Raymond, or Sherb. On the 3rd try, I actually got Sherb. I hope you find him! He's the absolute most precious villager I have. He's pretty cute too.

I was campsite grinding for raymond, and Sherb sat there, eating a chocolate donut, waiting for me. He kept complaining he forgot to bring his tv to the campsite lol
