Looks like a good tour this Summer. I hope they don't forget that since they're touring together, they could make a few opportunities happen to make a few songs. Especially with the age of tour-bus studios and such. They could just meet up one weekend and eat the local food and cut a track or two (in a studio with some local producers) for each others future works...and of course one or two all together.

I think if you're paying homage then however you do it, do it once.
I think once you start to make more than one song that sounds like another successful artist that has his or hers original sound, it's past the line of paying homage.
