Here is the sequel with similarities between Dragon Quest and Pokémon: czcams.com/video/CZXKKbSCA34/video.html
(Dragon Quest came out first)
Dragon Quest 1 and 2
Monster Rancher/Farmer
Pokemon
Digimon
Etc.
Yeah, really stolen. Pokemon has no ground to stand on.
Your video is very disappointing.
You stopped trying at 2nd half, and your effort was not that good to begin with.
You ignored obvious fusions, playing down the way they stole designs. Get someone on board who can properly identify the pokemon designs if you cannot do it next time. Like the snow fox pal is not just Alolan Ninetails, it contains parts of design of ice eevuilution too. The Cheshire cat thing contains both Galarian meowth and Delcatty who has same tail and fur color. The green bear is fusion of pangoro and bewear.
Should have just combined the green and blue dino pals pallets swap together since they are fusions of aurorus and meganium with their respective colors.
You are like flat earthers doing flawed experiments trying to prove Earth is flat.
@@kitsune-moon1 word: nickit. The small fire Fox was closer to design to gen 8 Nickit which is just based on fox rather than kitsune (which by the way is not accurate argument with variations of kitsune in mythology). It was fused with Vulpix to give it fire type and somewhat softened design that made it look a bit cuter in coloration.
Pokemon Fans: "This guy is on our side, here to expose the truth that the monsters in this game are pale imitations of our--"
NintenUnity: "So anyway, here's a sequel showing how Pokemon borrows monster concepts from Dragon Quest."
Pokemon Fans: _"n-Nani??!"_
So, youre saying that since they look alike, they have the same design? same thing that pokemon did with fakemon when they released scarlet and violet then right? nothing pokemon fans should complain about @@rainbowprism6242
I love how these run the gamut from “Yeah, that’s a bit of a stretch” to “Yeah, that’s Eevee in a jacket.”
Pal World Legal Defense team: WHAT? DID YOU WANT EEVEE TO BE COLD?
@@SimpleVisionVideos I almost spit my coffee reading that 🤣
When i want my evees tobe warm i dont get them a jacket i get them a firestone
Ya, there were more stretches than simularities! And some of the comparisions i was waiting for them to show other pokemon. Like dark zoura looks more like the one they showed houndom for!? Im not totally mad at some of the designs either as they are changed alot! But like the one that looks like cinderace, and Anubus and lacario, creme to eevee. I can deff see the same thing!
Yeha, some are very distinct, but similar concept in diferent ways.
And others are soo similar, that fells like comparing Mario, and MR Game and Watch on mellee.
Can we flip the narrative and start saying they ripped digimon too
Necromis literally having skullknightmon's weapon:
1:24 I spy look alike Herrismon!
Nah,Digimons and Pokemons have a too dinstic Art and Design that only a moron can say that. This however anyone can pick off the similarities right-off the bat.
They even took a design from Yokai Watch
Yea a lot of digi designs in the game
So this is what happens when you use the Polymerization magic card from Yu-gi-oh in a Pokemon Card game.
u can see a lot of it on the Pokemon Infinite Fusion fangame, im a sprite from that btw XD
I summon the blue eyes ultimate dragon in attack mode I win 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I'm not a fan of Palword, but even I have to admit 90% of these comparisons are huge stretches, and plenty come down to two very different creatures based on the same concept. I mean, how many big wolves can you make without them looking similar at all?
Because this video comparison is trash, most of the pals take from at least 3 pokemon.
And we are not talking about similar concepts. Some of the Palworld share 99% of the internal wiring.
They could've pushed the wolf design further away from lyconrock.
@@jhuh24 they shouldnt have to actively make their designs look less like pokemon
haha, they didn't use the same concept, palworld creators used AI to create their own pokemon
@@X-3181 As far as I understand, they used AI art to get ideas, but then hired real artists to make do the actual art.
I agree that a lot look very similar but some others seem a bit far-fetched, for example the black owl one.
Yh some aren't even using the right pokemon or characters, that pal has a Honchkrow hat
Yeah its face is more similar to that owl from OoT and the one from Tropical Freeze than any Pokémon tbh
And the witch hat and dark color scheme is okay because owls are often mistakenly said to be witches in disguise, and they're nocturnal creatures, so wanting to make them blend better with the shadows makes sense
No it's on brand. Some of these pals are even the same type as the thing theyre based on. Some of them are that might seem like reaches have a design in another pokemon not named. Like the pig boar thing compared it to zigzagoon but left out its also mamoswine inspired.
Like lizard with clothes on its body is broad enough to not be straight up copying, but its directly inspired and is not trying to hide its inspiration.
The black owl is noctowl but they left out honchkrow as well. But knowledge owl is definitely noctowl coded.
Now some of these are different enough that they are their own concept in their own right. The knight that is ALSO the horse is an amazing design and nothing like that is in pokemon, even tho the design is taken from what the vid pointed out.
I'm not sure if 'but here's a case where we didn't blatantly copy' is a defense. And I'm pretty sure they have copied something in every case. Even if its' not this Pokémon or that Pokémon.
I think the ones that are far-etched are fine, but the very similar ones are blatant copies
Some of them are easy to recognize while others are harder
I bet you'd have a hard time recognizing your dad.
dad joke in 2024? really?@@voltairearouet1374
some of the choices are poor to compare, i see more similarities between serperior and the pal at 30second in
because it's more like an inspiration. Even digimon has counterparts with pokemon. The reason why pals and pokemons looks the same is because what's copied by palworld is the pokemon's ART STYLE.
I will say, only 2 throughout this entire fucking video made sense.

Indie games animation much smoother than the billion dollar company.
I think that's why people are trying to break the developers down and beat on them. They're just upset that an indie game is far superior to the shit we've been led to believe is "fun" for so long by triple A developers.
The gaming industry has been lying to us for years and trying to convince us that shit that isn't fun, was never fun, and will never be fun, is actually fun. Meanwhile, a bold indie title drops and changes how we see shit for a while, and suddenly we start to realize that the entire industry is being controlled by tyrannical companies.
Naughty Dog and Sumo Digital got upset about Palworld. I can't really speak too ill of Naughty Dog, but Sumo Digital on the other hand... Sumo killed Little Big Planet, then started puppeteering its corpse. Sackboy A Big Adventure is an insult. And they wanna get mad at some indie devs for making a game that's better? Rich!

One game per year? How can quality be at least good with that time? They should take 3 or 4 years to create the games they used to give.
The fault is at people who still buys their poopy games, and because they know pokemon will still sell even if they give you half of the game in a cartridge they will continue doing the same. The care more about money than quality 🤷♂️
I used to play pokemon but stopped after buying SwSh. One person wouldn't make a difference I know but I stopped supporting such a shtty company.

go to 2:46 and look at the clear cinderace ripoff
of course not all of them are complete ripoffs but a lot of them are very clearly so
Bro what. You can look at any palworld and immediately think of a pokemon that already exists. The fact you can look at any pal and think of an already existing pokemon proves this. Decidueye, Cinderace, Lucario are pretty egregious copycats. While they may not be illegal, it certainly isn't trying to be original
I think the problem is some of them are like blatant copies & other games that are monster collecting ones I don't see them making their designs too much like pokemon 🤷♂️@gimo6881
no its not
there are so many fakemon designs that dont look like preexisting pokemon...
3:22 resembles nickit a bit
The fire fox draws a few similarities to vulpix, but Pokémon and other franchises have made multiple fire foxes and it’s not that much of a ripoff
Only thing this video showed me is how much better palworld is at designing and modeling creatures.
I was thinking that too
Good joke
I feel like these comparisons can also be argued for creatures in dragon quest. Only reason I would see this being compared to these games in particular is because pokemon never had competition before in terms of sales.
The penguin I feel looks more disgaea like and the sea dragon not shown in this video feels like something from an old ds game a friend of mine had, can't remember what it was called, but I always thought the designs looked cool.
But dragon quest or cronolglecaly Pokemon has a vary different Artstyle , and the have in most comparesens i found different siluetts + collors that make them deveate from another, for example gyrados and the blue Dragon were you could say that Kairo from onepiece is Loks more like the dragon quest monster than Gyrados does, most (not all) palls have not only simulare Features to Pokemon but share a vary simulare artstyle wich makes them look a like
Please do a side by side comparison with Dragon Quest. I played almost every Dragon Quest and I really don't understand why some people are talking about Dragon Quest creatures
100% the reason. Pokemon company and nintendo didn't care at all until it actually became a hit and started making way more in sales. They probably are thinking if we don't shut this down we might not get away with being so lazy with our games. 😂
@@clockworkNate I don't get why people see Palworld as a Pokemon GAME. It's not a Pokemon game, there's zero RPG mechanic, no story, no city, it's a sandbox craft game based on Ark Survival Evolved.
The only problem they can have with Palworld is that kid's parents can refuse to buy Pokemon products for their kids because they think Palworld is Pokemon and that Pokemon is a violent game where the player is killing cute cats with a machine gun.

@@gaspachoo5046 I don’t really think it’s a matter of bias. Did you watch this video? Most, if not all of the Palworld designs, are fusions of several Pokémon designs. Which is fine, but I’d hardly describe them as superior designs.

There are 1025 pokemons so far, you could throw paint at a wall and it could be confused with a pokemon
There are tons of artists making fanmade pokemon that look completely new and unique. There is no excuse for this.
Creativity is only limited by your imagination, and it seems like they started with next to none
@@ajlucky0076 The is no need for an excuse, there is no copyright infrigment here. They are similar? Sure,.They are the same or a barely mofied copy? No. If you don´t agree then where do you draw the line beetween inspired and stolen?
There are 1025 Pokemons, does that mean you are no longer allowed to draw a chibi 3D dinosaur with leaves because of it? or a keychain? or a trash bag with eyes? Or a penguin?
The objective and important thing here is that the design is "chibi", "3D rendered" and "anime-like"... You can´t own these concepts, you can own your character... but if i make a Snorlax with cat features, suddenly we have "Big the cat".
@@midnightdagger21 So... what's the problem then? That they weren't creative with the designs? Have you ever seen a JRPG? They ALL look the exact same, and no one cares.... But do it with pokemons and suddenly we have a problem? seriously who is affected by this?
And at the end of the day they made a game for money, not in the name of art and creativity, the same goes for Pokemon... As long as no laws are being broken... then that's it.
@Juan-Far I think they actually stole assets from the pokemon games, like the exact model of Sobble's fin. Not to mention that Pokemon too had very clear inspiration and references in its designs to things like Godzilla and Dragon Quest, yet you don't see an angry mob against Psyduck and Baxcalibur...
Also, if there is somebody out there that is blatantly copying Pokemon, it is Pokemin itself, with unoriginal designs and models excused by the lazy idea of paradox mons, regional forms and convergent mons.

@@Aegilash
That grass squirrel has nothing to do with Leafeon man.
There is over a thousand Pokémon, naturally you can find a comparison for some
the similarities happens because they purposely copied the art style used in pokemon, that's the reason of the huge amount of similarities, there's a lot of games with monsters out there, and it's rare to see monsters that actually looks to each other, because the artist has it's own style, like there's huge difference between digimon and pokémon for example, or pokémon and shin megami tensei/persona, but here, the devs of palworld want to make a game with monsters that looks like pokémon, that was the main point of the marketing for the game, it's like somebody making an anime/mangá with art that looks like Akira Toriyama art.
I also have to say, if a Pokémon player can look at these designs and straight up say the Pokémon that it resembles before they’re even revealed, and get it RIGHT (like I did), then there’s a problem. As a Pokémon fan since Gen 4, I see similarities, however… all of these are original designs. From scratch, no AI generation to be found.
Ah yes, original designs that mainly use existing pokemon😂
@@ItsYuhBoyyyyyou can take inspiration from things and make your own version of it, still an original design just inspired by pokemon
@@cleedus4333 inspiration is fine but some of these are just ripped straight from Pokemon😂
@@ItsYuhBoyyyy and Pokemon ripped most of their ideas from preexisting stories/games/lore. Most fiction/games take inspiration from previous things and combine it in new ways . There is an old adage "there is nothing new under the sun" all things draw from others if you want this game gone for this you should want Pokemon gone for the same thing. I watched this Video and all I could think on most of them that was it was a stretch and a half, the others oh hey they are the same kind of fantastic creature/animal so of course they are going to look similar , not one of these looked like a Direct copy.

Outside of this absurd debate, its fun the simple fact that some people defend and insult others because a videogame monster looks similar to other monster that isn't even available in new videogames
I fully agree
It’s still stealing no matter how you sugarcoat it
@ragnaricstudios5888 it looks more like a parody to me than a shameless copy, but the only wrong thing i see is people insulting and fighting about this now rather than when they presented the "pals" in 2021, if it was worse than pokemon, no one would care, but it ended up being a little bit more than just a copy and because of that a lot of people started insulting the pokemon games which, are objectively bad and a huge part of the pokemon fanbase fought back, the biggest problem began when people started giving their opinion but the fanboys of each product are taking sides and if you don't share their opinion then you're against them, it's almost like a war but luckly they haven't gotten to the point of attacking each other because that grass animal has leaves just like my grass animal
@@ragnaricstudios5888 do we need to talk about the stolen Fakemon and Mario 20 controversy again?
@@zeromontalvan1514 It's probably because a lot more people know about Palworld now. I've never even heard about Palworld until about a week ago. It's not hate to make a plausible assessment of what we see and any objective person can clearly see Palworld copied Pokemon's designs it's not about the gameplay.
7:14 this is literally just zekrom but bird
First off you can’t copyright Anubis haha it’s a Egyptian god so technically pokemon can’t own it. Plus it’s there own designs so no copyright infringement can be taken plus Microsoft is now involved helping the Palworld company
Wow 😂 they really didn’t care on some of those.
Some were a bit of a stretch though.
I’m glad the game is fun.
I’m interested to see how the final product is before I even think about purchasing it.

Some of these "similarities" are absurd. Like to say the Cow Pal looks like Snorlax because of the face alone and not the Cow Pokemon is a pretty big stretch. Facial expression alone aren't enough to be "similar" otherwise Snorlax and brock look alike as well as every character in anime with closed eyes
7:23 is Shaymin and you can not convince me otherwise.
Honestly, who cares! I'm so sick of the way that Pokemon has a monopoly over the monster catching genre. This is coming from someone who has played every generation. We need some new fresh blood. I hope Palworld gets really popular.
Well, i wouldn't call this Fresh New Blood since it is still a Gun Simulating game, which ain't gonna be everyone's cup of tea..
I kinda care because it will flood the market with similar copycat attempts. Seems perfect to make a quick buck without we need to be original.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince just came out in December; if you're looking for another turn based monster collector/battler, the DQM series are worth checking out if you never played them!

it's actually funny to see how many vids are out there with palworld vs pokemon designs and in many cases they come up with different pokemon for the same pal which one or more pals are based off of or just look way too similar.
I've only played red/yellow; silver, Black 1+2 and X; so most of these pokemon I don't even know but looks like there are a good few of them just looking similar to each other. xD
0:43 where is Mismagius?
As much as I can obviously agree seeing the blatant comparisons between a lot of them, there are some here that are a stretch. Like Rayhound, Incineram, Chillet, Teafant, and Rushoar. They are all very much different and unique from Pokemon designs with at most similar themes like demonic (Incineram/Houndoom) or animal concepts (Chillet/Furret).
There's vulpis, which also doesn't have much writing
I hope they like change some of them in the future, not like the concept but the model for obvious reasons as so they dont get flamed by gamefreak and that most of my love for the pals stopped because their wasn't much thought in the creative process.
@@2Navaliethat's the thing that I assume you've figured by now: neither Game Freak, Nintendo, nor the Pokémon Company can sue the devs over these designs, as they're differenr enough to not be confused with their own.
