A few comments on the set:
I hope Multipick adds the medium and thin turners that were intended to be part of any set. With only the thick turners, there are no options in this set to fit in medium or narrow keyways. I also suggested they could include more than 3 thicknesses of turner, in finer increments, but that 3 is the bare minimum.
Multipick apparently used the wide shaft taper profiles intended for .015" thick picks, rather than the narrow shaft taper profiles intended for .025" thick picks, which are the closest match to the .6mm thickness. This means the shafts are wider than necessary for that thickness. Not the end of the world, but I hope they fix this eventually.
The long wave rakes each come in large quad and small quint forms, for large and small locks, respectively, and 3 different levels of sharpness: Aggressive cycloid, cycloid, and sinusoid. These 3 levels of sharpness have a sine/cosine ratio of .5, .25, and 0, respectively. The aggressive cycloid, which has not appeared previously, is quite sharp compared to the others, and will tend to snag and saw metal from key pins. The original cycloid is a good balance of action and smoothness. The sinusoid is as smooth as it gets.
The short wave rakes are only in the large and small cycloid wave. It would be simple enough to offer those in aggressive cycloid and sinusoid forms too, but it seemed a bit excessive and unnecessary, as most raking is going to be done with the long wave rakes. and the cycloid is the Goldilocks happy medium sharpness.
I do answer email, if anyone wants to talk. My email address is easy to find.

Morning Bill! Christina is awesome, I sat down with her and she showed me the program she used to design all of these and how the cycloid and sinusoid functions were used in the design, It was really neat. The ToooL wicked waves have become a staple of my edc and they are the first rakes I grab when I want to use a rake. Glad to see her working with multipick as well. Thanks for the review. Have a great weekend.

    Well done Bill and Christina.
There are thousands of picks and sets on the market, and a user can refine the finish on them themselves, or even make your own with a few tools and good material the right thickness. It's also very simple to make your own custom tensioners for bottom of the keyway, but the one thing this industry/sport/hobby needs more of is TOK tensioners.
The tension tool you use is Soooo much an important part of picking, and the better it fits the more control you have and better feedback. I don't know why so many TOK are so thin, but it makes sense to me if the tensioner is the same thickness as the key, then it fits perfectly and all you need is the right length so it reaches without being wobbly.

I recently got 22 different picks from multipick, including palmers, bogotas, tensioners, 0,4mm hooks, 6-mountains etc. Really high quality stuff! I was able to get 2 locks from my personal "naughty bucket" open within minutes. The only issue i found is that the steel is a bit soft, so if you pick locks with high tension you can bend the pick. They wont break, but bent, so dont use too much force, and if a pin wont get where you want it, use an old or a thick chinese pick to force it down.

i really like what she did with keeping that top of the keyway tension flush with the lock. i prefer bottom of keyway for that main reason, it seems to slip out right as i’m getting the last pin and boom! i hsve to start from scratch.. i find top of keyway is better and i get better results due to the room to maneuver but that damn tensioner falling out on me makes me like the bottom. i have her wicked waves set already so i might just make a couple tensioners on that design and if they work, maybe i’ll get some.. but this is 3 years old as i write so i bet they have those in a less expensive expansion type kit now the new car smell is gone. i will update if i find anything.

Hey Bill, now that Sparrows has released another batch of the disc detainer pick designed by you and LPL, I was wondering if you'd do us all a favor and put up a video about what locks we should think about getting to learn how to use your amazing pick on disc detainer locks? Also, what tool would you recommend to get in order to turn all of the discs clockwise before picking?
A few lock recommendations would be so very much appreciated. I just don't even know where to start re: disc detainer locks. But I'm sure excited to get my new pick! It'll be here Wednesday. :)

There's really no way for me to answer this because the dd makers online keep changing their names faster than we can keep track. Basically, any dd costing less than $20 is fair game. You can even find hundreds of the on eBay and Amazon for under $10. Price is the best indicator. If it says "Assa" or "Gerda"....forget it.

Nice rakes. But the tensioners in 0.13 mm thickness do not fit in typical European locks. Slim versions would be nice.
By the way: am I the only one, who would appreciate TOK tensioners in thickness steps of 0.01 mm instead of the curent 0.02? I have often the case, that e.g. 0.12 does not fit and 0.10 is a little too loose. 0.11 should fit perfectly, but there are non comercially available, afak

As far as I know, Multipick sells to anyone. The remark to business customers probably is a legal one in order to justify indication of prices with and without VAT. In Germany, prices for consumers have to be indicated always including VAT, while prices for B2B are w/o tax. Violations to this price labeling is just what some lawyers are waiting for. And by the way, it sounds better than "we sell to any customers with either professional, sportive, or criminal intentions.".
