I'm Kaz, a young farm vet working in Northumberland (but now on sabbatical in New Zealand!), which is in the North East corner of England. I grew up in the city and found myself doing this job by a very happy coincidence.
This channel is an attempt to show my friends, family, and anyone else who cares, what I do on a day-to-day basis. If you have an interest in veterinary medicine, farming, food or the countryside, join me for the ride.

I give all do respect to vets who operate out in the field on cows horses live stock ect. Them having to deal with horrisive smells from a calf dieing inside mom and been in there for a few days rotting, huge nasty cists, cancers puss ECT. I bet knce the pain meds and numbing stuff statted working she was in heaven and felt instant relief poor baby girl hope she got well soon. My gf and her family has a dairy farm and the raise thier own dairy cows as well with ai process and i saw the vet do this exdct same procedure once and it took a bunch of really strong opiate pain meds and sedation to get the cancer off her poor eye then it got badages up with antibiotics inside it and some lubercant to keep eye from drying out and in 4-5 days she was good to go. No matter how well you take care of your cows they will always get puss pockets and other stuff like that once in a while

As a responsible society, we should take more measures to educate our cattle about the dangers of smoking 😢

1st time here. Very interesting! I'll definitely follow for more procedures you do, thank you!

Blimey, that cancer was much larger when it was removed than I thought!

Once again, nice vid, Kaz. Why not block the auriculopalpebral nerve with lidocaine to avoid blinking?

Thanks! I would definitely do one for an enucleation and actually - it probably would have helped here. Thankfully
I had some manual retractors 🙌

😊I was wondering would Helen’s hands have made useful retractors by stretching the eyelids apart?
