I know the Ramos deck has been struggling, but thank you for not giving up on it! It’s gotta be my favorite deck I’ve ever seen on here - so creative and exciting. I’m sure you’ll figure out the package you need to protect him!

I also run a Ramos mutate deck. One thing I’ve learned is when mutating onto Ramos, it’s almost always worth it to mutate on top of Ramos so it is no longer an artifact. My opponents would often just cast an artifact removal spell on Ramos out of convenience and he tended to stay on the field longer after I learned this
Hey i play ramos mutate too! :) And I learned this trick too. Sacrifice a power or two to maintain protection. I love that deck! It's so much fun. I'm thinking of adding chromanticore as a mutate target and capturing all 5 colours
so i have a question is ramos mutate or otrimi mutate better ive been wanting to make a mutate deck
@@titanium0002 I’ve not played Otrimi as the commander but he’s pretty good in the 99 of Ramos, so I’d recommend Ramos personally
I'm pretty sure no one can respond to Tempt with Discovery once players decide if they're temped or not, because the spell is still resolving at this point...
You're right. We got a bit loose with timing on that. Presumably, he would have just cast it afterwards one he had priority.

Yeah she is usually a sorta trash tier commander. I totally thought lathril was going to run away with this game.
@@shazebennington937 I've played Kadena since it came out, it has never been a trash tier. The excellent color combination and the fact that gives you a free body and card advantage at the same time works perfectly for control & go wide strategies. Morphs are unexpected and give you a great array of tools, from counters to big bodies and resource theft and denial. I've always thought it's one of those Commanders that go overlooked because it's abilities are not really flashy, but it can really control a lot of games if well built.
Been there done that seen that. Kadena rocks. :) If keeps up de gas. My favorite combo was seedborn muse and leyline (+ kadena ofc). That was awesome.
@@lugh.i I'm in the same boat. A wide variety of tools lets her play a value/control style that can spiral out of control pretty quickly if left unchecked. My only issue has been closing games, but she can lock down a table and generate all the value with surprising ease :)
He resolved an Expropriate. That was pretty much game over.

Ramos loves flash enablers, because you can remove the counters and recast him on their turn in response to removal.

I love whenever you upload your Ramos mutate. He is who I wanna run my mutate deck with, but right now it's just Yidris. You would think the cascade messes with the mutate, but its actually pretty fun to do, I just know Ramos is much better and gives me access to white.

My Ramos is one of my favorite decks. I have yet to see anything like it. Vadelkin orrery is an amazing card for it
i'm so confused as to why you didn't remove the counters from ramos to pay for the 1 mana from crystal shard. pls help
He said he thought it was a waste of 9 mana (since he would have to pop ramos counters), but honestly I think he just forgot he could do that and didn't want to admit that.

Wouldn't the sea dasher octopus not be a creature anymore since it was mutated on the once animated keyrune and the effect of being turned into a creature ends at the of the turn? Mutate is weird.
Just wait until you get into what happens when you mutate onto a planeswalker while it's a creature.

I think that's only if he keeps the keyrune on top of the stack, but I don't really know. Mutate is weird.

May I suggest that putting in a animar into the Ramos deck will help out alot
Small detail, but I'm this case, I think it matters; the resolution of Tempt with Discovery.
Firstly, casting player needs to find a land, then each player in turn order can choose to be tempted. As each player gets tempted, the casting player can then go get a land. So it will alternate between player 1 2 1 3 1 4 1.
Knowing that players can only choose to be tempted on resolution of the spell, players can not respond. In this case, someone killed Chris's mana crypt out of spite.
Then Chris might jave been able to interact using the land be got.
Most of the time, this small detail does t matter, but in the fringe cases, it can be the difference between a counter spell or a removal

I haven't played Ramos mutate too much, but I found the most success when Ramos is a secondary threat and not the mutate target. He either draws hate off your mutate stack, or surprise one-shots people in the air.

Sultai value town is just such a strong combination of colors even with a janky commander concept it proves you can just generate that value relatively easily.
Reminds me how any commander that is U/B has a cEDH chance

The games the last few times seem to have widely varying power levels between the decks. You seem to get hated out of the game very fast and aren’t allowed to get going.

I opened the video to get some ideas on how to play Kadena and ended up being SCHOOLED
PS: I don't know if you still have that mutate deck, but Ramos is definitely not the sweetest commander for the strategy, I'd recommend Surgeon Commander 😊

I love how that channel constantly features obscure but amazing Commanders! Seriously. So much other content is featuring only high powered decks which is just not what I want my EDH experience to be. I love how you mix it up and feature such a cool variety of styles and decks. Muddstah, for what it's worth, I built my 5C mutate deck using Sliver Hivelord as the commander just for the indestructible. Can still be removed and not as fun as Ramos, just a thought.
I totally would've phased out phage with teferi out of spite to save Mark from dying
I think it would have made Derek lose the game at the beginning of his turn when she phases back in too.

I’m just curious why is mutating Ramos a popular deck? I took basically all of the cards from my marchesa the black rose deck made it into that plus using the other colors to make up the lacking bits from marchesa. Like tempting offer, villainous wealth, kamahls Druidic vow, prosh, and all of the maelstrom cards and Aurelia.

Eeeeee Kadena! And...Phage?!
Yep, it's one of the few ways to put Phage on play without triggering its ability. This version of the deck has different manifest card to put Phage face-down. Then, you get attacked with an innocent 2/2 without any abilities and you don't block, then the manifest is flipped before damage and you die.
