    I remember downtown Champaign from 70s when I was growing up. The history I know 😊😊

      The two things that stick out to me was the Big Fire Downtown in the early 80's as well as when Neil Street in front of the Hyatt (South of Church) was closed for years to vehicles. I believe the city did this to encourage people to shop more at the local businesses on that block.

    Great little town with great food choices. Just don't stay out to late or you'll be dodging bullets.

      As with any town USA, there will always be rascals in every town. To get more information about this, you can get all the data you need by calling the local PD.

      If you are wanting to live and work close to downtown Champaign, you will find rental homes and apartments in every direction of Downtown Champaign within walking distance of down town. Some are Apartments, some are Single Family Homes and Others are homes that have been converted in multi unit rental apartments. There are many listings of properties for rent if you go to Zillow and zoom in around downtown. Hope that helps! @hersheykiss722

      Downtown Champaign has certainly changed a lot in the last 31 years. There is certainly a lot more restaraunts and things to do Downtown. When the Hyatt Hotel was built, there has been a significant increase in business development!

    What neighborhood is safe and peaceful around champagne and near to carle?

    • @BrockCollinsRealtor
      @BrockCollinsRealtor  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Hello, thank you for your question. Crime reports may be a good way to determine if an area of town is safe to you. You should be able to get this data from Champaign Police Department. One other tip you might do is to go to Trulia and type in Champaign. As you click on different homes in the area, the community has provided data about each area that you may find helpful!

    Are pets allowed in those public places and in any apartments to rent?

    • @BrockCollinsRealtor
      @BrockCollinsRealtor  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Hi Alice, there is not a lot of green space in the main areas of downtown, but areas that may be close enough to walk to. However, I see pets in the Park regularly. Our company does not work in property management, so in regards to apartments allowing pets, you may want to call the owners or management companies directly of the properties and discuss directly with them. I hope that helps! Brock
