- There are several types of trap doors available that can be used on wild pig traps. Some work, some don't. This video provides step-by-step instructions for building a very simple, inexpensive, and effective trap door for removing wild pigs.
I just built the door exactly as you showed and it works! Thanks for the detailed info. I have some hogs coming to my feeder and so now time to build the corral trap.
Just caught my first sow using the door I built from your video today, thanks again.
Just finished building this trap door. Great plan, easy to follow and build. Fixing to deploy it. Thanks for sharing this!
How did you attach the trip rope to the door?
@@richardmatthys7133, I drilled a hole in the diameter of my rope, 4” up from the bottom of the plywood door, ran my rope through the hole, then tied three knots on the rope.
@@Jaybird1705 how did you set the trigger ?
Thanks for the update, hope you get the lift working properly
I think the washing machine idea sounds great also
Awesome video, simple!
Cool trap man
Nice work
Thanks for the video.. gonna build one myself now.
I know I'm pretty randomly asking but does anyone know a good website to stream new series online ?
@Kellen Antonio i would suggest FlixZone. You can find it by googling :)
@Kellen Antonio lately I have been using flixzone. Just search on google for it =)
@Kellen Antonio i watch on FlixZone. You can find it on google :)
That damn sheet of plywood is 50 bucks now
Do you ever make a wider door for more skittish hogs that are somewhat trap wary? I know with a larger door, any flexing might cause it to pop out if the hogs put too much pressure on it? Suggestions?
Dumb question how do trigger it to close?
Do you have video on trigger set up
I can make one for my sister
Better to design a ONE-WAY-TICKET door, where the pig goes 1 way , cannot return. This way no trigger or monitoring is needed , and NO PANIC is created . Pigs remain calm hence more keep joining in . Just show up at your own comfort.
Awesome :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) extra imonicons
hey rod
Outstanding!!!

All that work and no instructions on how the rope was attached to the door
This time I will use woodprix instructions to make it myself :)
He didnt cut enough material he neede 2 more 2x2 x6 for his door slider he only cut 2 😂😂😂😂
I made it by myself. I used woodprix scripts for that.
I started with Woodglut plans.
It's "feral pigs," not "wild [sic] pigs," dunces! No wild pigs (or boars or hogs) in the New World; all are exotic species. The sooner you start using the correct term, the better.
We use the term "wild pigs" because it is a collective term that describes feral domestic pigs, eurasion wild boars, and their hybrids.
